John Bates was a pancake machine. Might be a luxury TE in this offense. Good on Teams as well which is going to be a totally different ballgame with the new rules. Some will lose jobs and some different skill sets will be needed. I bet you could play Ed
Commanders starting lineup (Offense) IMO QB1- Jayden Daniels QB2- Marcus Mariota RB1- Brian Robinson Jr RB2- Austin Ekeler WR1- Terry Mclaurin WR2- Jahan Dotson WR3- Luke McCaffrey WR4- Dyami Brown TE1- Ben Sinnott TE2- Zach Ertz LT- Brandon Coleman LG- Nick Allegreti C- Tyler Biadasz RG- Sam Cosmi RT- Andrew Wylie ( This is what I personally believe it should be, not confirmed at all) Rookies like Sinnott, McCaffrey and Coleman, who we are so high on, and not too mention, who we took in very early rounds (2-3) should definitely get a chance to prove themselves. We already know the potential of guys who previously started, so it only makes sense that we give em a chance, and think for our future.
I think the odd man out is going to be bates. It's going to be Ertz, Sinnot, and Turner. I really don't see them releasing turner, his ability and height is such an advantage. Hopefully he makes the cut, if bates beats him out, it's simply because bates is a better blocker, and that's what they want, outside of Ertz and Sinnot. But I think turner makes it.
From experience with division players we sign it always never works out so I’m not too excited about Ertz but I am looking forward to the rookie. If he can be dynamic right away we cutting Ertz next year
Armani Rogers reminds me of that running back Mccloughan drafted in the 7th. Fastest RB in the draft but he could not even stay healthy through the preseason games. Rogers can't stay healthy. I think Cole makes the roster because they can still get Armani on the prac squad and let him develop.

Sinnot turner bates rogers I like ertz but I rather go with the young guys to develope I say ertz till final cuts then offer him a te coach job to help young boys sinnot could be real good bates blocking turner possession recieving te that can contest catches and roger is a fast athletic move te I would like to see all get playing time
Really this is a debate between Bates and Turner lol. Unless Turner turned the corner on blocking and YAC I don't really see him being more than TE4/practice squad. I do think he has a better shot than Rogers, though. Bates being a great blocker who can catch is more valuable with Sinnott and Ertz as TE1/2. But if they're content with our blockers Rogers>Turner.
I think Ertz, Sinnott, Turner & Rodgers. Bates is too dimensional. Sinnott projects to be a good blocker. So we would have to dynamic TEs that can block and two athletic TEs in Turner and Rodgers. ✂️ Bates
I feel that way about Turner, Bates can still catch and he's a great blocker. Turner can't really block that well and he's not super dynamic after the catch. Bates has at least made a handful of flashy plays, Turner just didn't flash as much as anybody would have liked last season and kinda got bodied by db's so I'd be surprised if he makes it over Bates who is a top tier blocker at the very least. Having Ertz and Sinnott means there's not much need for a pass catching TE as much as a blocker so it knocks Turner and Rodgers down the depth charts just because of that.

Rodgers needs to stay atleast on the practice squad
Have Rodgers as the 4th TE and the 7th Receiver. Use Rodgers as red zone big Receiver.
Sinnott, Ertz, and Bates are the 3 guys I see as safe bets. If they keep 4, it'll be Rogers. Turner looks to be the odd man out.
