How about this! Been having every holiday at my house, they come eat don't help with cleaning up. That sister that bring sodas, 2 sisters on drugs, raised that niece from 9 to 21 the one I bought that new car for who don't want to come and cut the veggies. I never get invited to their houses or get a birthday card or gift. This is God's truth. I have been giving for years. And done raised nephews, nieces. I'm done. Won't be cooking this year.

These 'Thanksgiving Stories' are exactly why I cook AT HOME and stay AT HOME (and no phone calls either!) during the holidays. That way I don't have to put up with other people's BS, drama, fakeness, etc.

Yes this is true,! I let my aunt talk me into driving 200 + miles to see them for Thanksgiving giving! When I got there she tells me she don't have room for me and my two children to stay after telling me don't worry about it just come! I left and got a hotel room and this Thanksgiving morning I drove back home. I'm still hurt!!

Now that's just awful! I'm sorry you had to go through that. My suggestion: Distance yourself from that aunt and whoever else thinks that what she did was okay. The holidays ALWAYS bring out the absolute worst in people, especially family members! ☹️

4 words: they threw it away. When that one family member that can not cook always wants to bring a dish sometimes two dishes, and she starts asking who had some of her food because she Doesn't see her dish on the table assuming we ate it all. All hell is about to break loose, and some truths are about to be told. 😩😩😩
I have 8siblings 4 girls all celebration geatherings.all me n my daughter n2sisters just give the mommy 👁 eye 2each other n then u know not 2touch that dish silent is golden don’t know what happen my siblings we all grew up n the same house 🏡 hold with 2parents some just don’t learn 2cook well but u can’t tell them that peaceful must stay enjoyable when loving each other n being thankful n have if fun bless u.

Please pray for me. Im facing trials and tribulations! I’m so discouraged! I lost my job over not wanting the vaccine due to my pre existing health conditions (lupus) I’m a single mother with two children both are autistic. I make a seafood bake with added. Shrimp ,minced clams, clam juice, crab meat and lobster. And a thin layer of salmon fillet on the bottom.

I definitely agree about dressing nice. That and housekeeping is a lost art. U don't have to wear a suit & dress but look nice. I had my 38 year old nephew moon me several times at our aunt funeral last week. He sat right in front of me & his ass showed up like he was going to a rap concert. He even denied it. I said I know an ass when I see one. Ask my husband, U mooned him too. Then he was walked off. All them under 40 people at the funeral in torn jeans & sagging jogging pants. It was quite despicable

I don't mean suits and ties but skirts, nice tops or blouses, men wore slacks and maybe a dress shirt, nice cardigan or other type of handsome Fall sweater. I mean like you said Ricky. Ricky is my generation. My mom learned in home economic class how to set a table. She always set the table during the holidays with cloth napkins salad fork, water glass, salad plate ex. ex. Candles lit on the table. We didnt eat on paper plates or in the livingroom. Only at the dinner table. I feel him. And I agree. Most young people do not have table etiquette

I totally agree about the "table manners". My mother taught my sister and I how to properly dine at the dinner table. Now as my for my father, he was a hopeless case at the "home table" but when we would go out to eat he would put on his best "table manners". I also think that "charm lessons" and "table manners" should be taught in school cause a lot of these kids don't know anything about that. I was a sub-deb and a debutante and we were given "charm lessons" because we already had good "table manners" taught to us at home.
