Happy Belated to my favourite new (to me) reaction channel! Your mom (and you) would love the video for The Dears: 22 the death of all the romance (from Montreal), and Gang of Four: I love a man in uniform (live at Old Grey Whistle Test . They're a UK post-punk band that was a big influence on Bauhaus/Love and Rockets/Tones on Tail - the most musically interesting group of artists pre-Radiohead).
The meaning of Daydreaming is deeper than that, the reason he is not interacting with anyone is because he is grieving, for half of his life. His partner of 27 years that passed away. This song was indeed composed either during or just after she died, but definitely after the divorce and that she was battling cancer. So definitely a grieving process had already started.
Mentioned this before, but I think this would be a lot better if you just let her read the lyrics instead of trying to decipher Thom's slurry delivery. Good reaction though.
Nice video! The dog zoom in kills me every time haha! You should show her- Reckoner, House of Cards, Nude, Jigsaw. Pretty much all In Rainbows haha. Or Codex
Love those Radiohead videos with your mom and can’t wait for more. I have a feeling she would love Burn The Witch and How to Disappear since she’s a violinist. She’s a sweetheart btw ♥️
Exit Music is from Romeo & Juliet's perspective. The end is a great example of teenage melodramatic spitefulness. "We killed ourselves because of your rules and so-called wisdom. Choke on that, dad/mom/family."
I don't know why she cant understand a thing, english its my second lenguaje and I can hear clearly what Tom says, Ive heard spanish (my first languaje) music that i struggle more to understand than this. I don't want to be harsh but how she can get the lyrics so dmn wrong XD
cool concept but my humble opinion is give her the lyrics before because her misunderstanding them is funny at first but runs out of steam quickly. As for the song, what I've gleamed and read is Yorke, a dreamer/artist, cannot connect closely to the everyday life of his family and his wife, who is ofc a mother. So he enters through doors into scenes of mothers in houses doing motherly activities. He floats through and never truly connects with the scenes and he "never learns" the importance of being focused on his wife and their family in a more present way. He too late acknowledges that the life of an artist is the brutal compromise of needing to preform ("we are just happy to serve you"), but that means leaving his family for months of touring. If he abandons music to be with his family, he will miss his passion and feel unfulfilled and miserable, but being partly in both worlds leaves him and his partner unhappy and ultimately may have led to his marriage ending. It's a brutally sad ode to dreamers and artists who never learn a way to balance their two loves: their art and their families and partners.
The idea that you can only be your independent self in a relationship is the reason so many fail . If half of you matches half of her it’s a win, because on your own all of you doesn’t match all you need , so you end up clinging to a sudo dog .
These videos with your mom are awesome! I really recommend Elliott Smith especially songs Happiness, Between the Bars and Say Yes. Jeff Buckley and Joy Division also have some amazing lyrics EDIT: Also Neutral Milk Hotel got some bars, just sayin
This is great! I love how your mom listens to music. I do the same thing. Every two second I say out loud what I think the singer is singing, missing the words that follow right after because I’m shouting, then I guess what comes right after that.
It’s about plastic stuff and how bad it is to the environment, but also about men and women editing their body irl to try and be loved. We have so much beautiful women and men naturally but they fall for the unattainable beauty plastered online and everywhere and think that going under the knife will solve everything. “Looks like the real thing, taste like the real thing but under is just plastic”. Love yourselves, your all beautiful and if you feel like you need to changed yourself for someone to notice you well then they don’t deserve you.
happy Canada day to all my Canadians out there. Enjoy this video that has nothing to do with Canada.
Please just react to a full album, rather than various songs
@@nobodyburgen4594 I don't think she would want to do that lol. I'll think about it though.

Yeah, her trying to get the lyrics down without reading it is so goddamn annoying.
please just let her read the lyrics
Is it required that she endlessly guess the lyrics? It feels like trying to listen to music and watch "the Veiw" at the same time.
I guess it's how she listens to music
Love these videos, if you do another one, Motion Picture Soundtrack, Street Spirit and Life In A Glasshouse would be cool!
In all seriousness, your mom’s got a really nice voice - she can sing!
“Is that the crackhead boyfriend?” Omfg🤣 Thom can never catch a break can he
Mom, it's poetry/lyrics, not to be taken so literally. Many composers use imagery and themes to get across ideas and concepts.
My aunt actually dated the violinist on fake plastic trees back in uni
I swear to God, this looks as frustrating as it would be doing this with my Mom. Lol
[00:42] 90s survivor laughing at that evil smile. Yes mom, buckle up.
Radiohead has been my special interest for 1,5 month now and I love to see people’s reaction to it!
You should really do more of these!!
Nice video! The dog zoom in kills me every time haha!

Also, if mom likes strings, there's always "How to Disappear Completely".
yeah I'll definitely show her "how to disappear" if we do another radiohead video
Great again, my suggestion is you swap roles and you make crazy guesses at the lyrics of her favourite songs
yep we'll be doing that at some point
Hahahaha, this is so sweet. Keep sharing these fun moments with your mum my friend.
You are a very patient lad 😂
I was kinda annoyed at her through the whole video. Like how can she get all the lyrics so wrong all the time...

@@erickhattaway8940 Es como ver al chavo leer la carta que le llega a don Ramón ..
Why is she repeating everything Thom sings? Haha
Seriously though, loved the video. Would love to see more on Radiohead in the future!
its kinda annoying tbh
that's the whole point of these videos. she tries to guess what thom is saying. go watch some other reaction videos if you don't like it
@@DAVECHERI’m here for it, keep it up 👍🏼
13:50 “CHRISTMAS?” BAHSHHA your mom is so cute ❤
I imagine me with a mom who patted me on the back with love. Who would I have been then...
You should do how to disappear completely. Love the acoustic guitar and strings.
Lovely how she couldn't stop talking
You should show her Motion Picture Soundtrack, Jigsaw Falling Into Place, Pyramid Song and Just :)
Mother says she has had a few fake plastic trees in her life.....Hahahahah!

Show her the lyrics or this is just a hearing test...
okay Tracker5111
Lucky that your mom didn’t have to take a test because she would fail miserably. She was not even close by mistake.
"Does he have friends?" What a Mom thing to say. lol
idk man. fake plastic trees has such a 90's vibe. and the music video..... iget such a big nostalgia while listening to that song adn im 25.
it was in the romeo and juliet movie with Leonardo
I would love to see her reaction to a few Elliott Smith songs..like waltz 2, for sure and maybe a sad one and maybe one a !title more upbeat..
Its like that Family Guy flashback
The idea that you can only be your independent self in a relationship is the reason so many fail . If half of you matches half of her it’s a win, because on your own all of you doesn’t match all you need , so you end up clinging to a sudo dog .
Just give her the lyrics for god's sake.
your mom is back, yay! can’t wait for the ‘mom reacts to frank ocean’ video 💗
"Real Friends" *cues Kanye* 😂
she’s so nice💗
she not nice at all, she acting like deaf ignorant
Cool video! Subbed.
These videos with your mom are awesome! I really recommend Elliott Smith especially songs Happiness, Between the Bars and Say Yes. Jeff Buckley and Joy Division also have some amazing lyrics
EDIT: Also Neutral Milk Hotel got some bars, just sayin
Communist Daughter be like
Pls do the live video of Present Tense
Such an unintelligent reaction to an incredibly deep, intelligent song.
I think these videos are fake plastic reactions.
THEY WEAR ME OUT!
This is great! I love how your mom listens to music. I do the same thing. Every two second I say out loud what I think the singer is singing, missing the words that follow right after because I’m shouting, then I guess what comes right after that.
I'm here for the dog
Is this just a game of your misheard lyrics?
I beg you just let her read the lyrics
Way above moms head. No offense.
You should totally read Romeo and Juliet.
Now I know why people burned witches.
Weezer next would be hilarious lol
mom reacts to bcnr? (last album probably)
You need to hear creep
In all seriousness, your mother needs her hearing checked.
LOL
You should do the microphones

Not everything is about the environment, this song being one of them.
Could use without the comment after every line, but don't at all mean to be disrespectful, just giving my two cents. ✌️
this was so funny and wholesome
24:46
We need her reaction to Freddy Got Fingered
Videos like this are so much fun
mom reacts to james blake
cool video, maybe some jpegmafia next?
she's totally making it up lol. I mean English isn't even my second language, and I understand him perfectly most of the time
you're mother may be hard of hearing or you need to upgrade your speakers :)
Mom reacts to MGK
I can't expose her to that awful human being
Does she even speak english?
It's not depressing musicc
Hmmm. Listen to the music, way too much chatting needlessly about lyrics.
Still disgusting
