Which, really, Robin isn't the type to break Lucina's heart anyways [their supports pointing out that he wants to be someone she can rely on.] but yeah. IF he did wind up breaking Lucy's heart, Chrom would -then- be pissed at him.
But really, Robin wouldn't. (well, discounting his ending. That has to hurt for Lucy. (Of course that's something else entirely. And he comes back.))
You know, I think this conversation adds so much to Robin/Lucina's arc as a couple if it takes place before chapter 21. I mean, in this conversation she brings up the possibility of having to choose between Robin and the task of defeating Grima, and how she can't put him above it. Well, the confrontation in chapter 21 is just that, Lucina can end the threat right there by killing Robin, putting saving the world above his life. However, when actually faced with that choice, Lucina finds out can't bring herself to do it. It shows how she's grown as a character, and just how powerful her bond with Robin has become.
***** That's a pretty messed-up situation there. I love it. I should do this on my next playthrough. XD
I really like time travelers as characters, but even more so when they have to face messed-up situations like this. For that purpose, I had the female avatar marry Chrom. Pretty much creates the same effect, but Lucina has to choose to kill her mother instead of her husband. It lacks the irony of this scene though, so the husband idea is probably a higher form of feels for the viewer.

Read Fire Emblem Awakening- Invisible Ties. It's a full novelization of the story from start to end, and it does a beautiful job capturing the relationship between Robin and Lucina in the later chapters. It even gives a scenario of "What if Morgan was Robin's daughter, but not Lucina's?" since she's from an alternate timeline.
Do read it. It's on TV Tropes as a recomended fanfic, it's one of the most faved and followed stories on Awakening... Yes.

I completely agree with this. While there are a ton of really good Robin x Lucina fanfics, a lot of them take some liberties with the characters or make major changes that I often don't agree with 100%
I have been on a similar quest myself to write Robin x Lucina related fanfic, particularly in regards to stuff to really capture how I see their relationship. This has however taken a bit of a backseat to working on my retelling of A Future Past (fanfic is called A Future Disowned, shameless promotion), which will it does have Robin and Lucina as a couple, their relationship is not the focus (the focus is on Morgan's backstory actually, which ties into the fan theory that is the basis for this particular story)
However, when that's done I plan to go back and write a bunch of one-shots portraying their relationship. One of the ones I am really looking forward to writing is the aftermath of Robin finding out that future him became Grima and was responsible for making Lucina's future a living hell. He would blame himself for everything that happened to her, he would see himself as a monster, that he is the reason Lucina wakes up with nightmares, why she lost everything. Robin would break down, terrified, no, convinced that Lucina must hate him now. For how could she love him, he is the monster that caused her so much pain and suffering.
Lucina would find him and this point and comfort him. She would assure him that he's not a monster, that he didn't make her suffer. She'd tell him that he isn't the same Robin from her future. She'll finish by saying that he isn't Grima, and he never will be, becauyse he is something else instead, the man the loves, and nothing will ever change that.
It even deeper if you do morgans chapter before chapter 21. So she knows she might have a daughter in this time too. So killing robin would mean killing her father. And that means doing the same to your own child that happened to you......
I think this pairing is one of the funniest.

Anyone who says Lucina is dull obviously hasn't gotten her supports. She is thoughtful, kind, has a fear of big bugs, hilariously misses the point, dedicated, is oblivious to how others would perceive her actions when she gets pumped, can be childish, and has a terrible sense of fashion. Honestly she is without a doubt my favorite wife for Robin.

completely agree. they probably only go off of cutscenes where she's focused but seeing all her quirks is what makes this game. it's all the interactions between all the different characters that make it hilarious and endearing. Also, I like the eagerness Lucina has to share time with Chrom. purposely losing a training session so that he can continue to have to practice with her is a great example of showing that side of her. hahaha also when she sort of guilt trips Chrom into fighting her and then already having practice swords when he finally decides to agree to practice. Haha honestly, Lucina is a good character!

Well it's definitely a lot more of a deep relationship.
I think a big reason is how it changes chapter 21. That is why i feel having some kind of relationship with lucina whether it be as her mother or husband is canon. It makes the scene much more emotional. Add that to the fact that one of her main goals in coming to the past was to find the one who killed her father, just increases the impact that much more.

I...I legitimately choked up a little at Lucina's soliloquy there at the end. Her honesty in admitting she loves him with all her heart without fluff or ceremony was one of the most touching things I've seen from this game. I don't know why. It was just simple and honest and melancholy and it hit me right in the heartstrings. Well done, Fire Emblem. :)

Ahmed Demha Not to get too serious, but in my opinion, I think considering the circumstances, marriage is pretty acceptable since they ARE at war and have a constant possibility of death. That and putting your life in another persons' hands and fighting beside them as a team has to build an incredible amount of trust between to the two. Even after only a few months, I think that's pretty justifiable. As for the kissing, I think it's pretty much shown that the avatar can be really prudish, that or just tries to act really professional.

That's fair. It also depends on the person, but from a general standpoint, that is true. Alot of the Shepherds already knew each other and were at least somewhat friends from the beginning though. I only wish there was a scope of exactly how much time it took for each rank to happen. Still, at least the future shows that most of the relationships went vaguely well, cept for Grima ruling the world.

People often mention how Chrom would be furious at Robin for marrying his daughter, but knowing Robin, he probably asked for his permission before he even proposed to her. Also, chrom still has the younger Lucina to raise, so it's not like he's losing his daughter or anything.

These two are the most married couple in the game, it’s so perfectly romantic and touched with just a hint of tragedy that it makes me cry.
That’s why I like pairing them up in-game. They support, comfort and encourage each other like a couple should.

I love this pairing, and I don’t think a looot of people understand Lucina, She never thought of having a daughter, a family, she expected to die young trying to save her world and at the end she leaves or disappears, that’s way more cruel, except with Robin as her husband; Morgan and Robin gave her hopes she never daren´t dream of, they gave her a better reason to save the world than just prevent a broken future, but create a place where she could grow old with her family (Hot spring conversation).
And that is why I am obsessed with Lucina. XD She's so dang cute!

Probably like any normal parent, but I dont know. I didnt seem to have a problem with it cause the girl was 14 years old and I raised her for 2 years when her parents were in the military. The only thing I could really do was talk to the boy privately and make sure he was on the right track.
