There are no winners or loosers in war. Long after the last shot was fired, there leaves behind a trail of pain & suffering for all involved. The veterans, family & friends.Thankyou to all who served. Rest in peace those who gave their lives, those who have since passed on. Respect from Australia.

All that’s left after a war is regular people just trying to grasp what happened and to try to heal the wounds that are deep. They go and see that the “ enemy” is not unlike them. They have families and love and want to forget too and move on. It’s nice to see these brave men going there to do that with them.

Im sad for the people who were made go and fight, but it was an illegitimate war of invasion, the Vietnamese had already suffered conquest and brutalisation from the French, Chinese and Japanese, then this coalition came in and inflicted further pain. They had no business being there, and the Vietnamese suffered most, still suffering to this day from the after effects of agent orange, landmines, mourning and trauma. Luckily Vietnam prevailed, the country reunited and is now doing better than ever. I know, because I live there.

Unfortunately, the 18-hour documentary: The Vietnam War, Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, although he praised the brave American soldiers and the Vietnamese's determination to protect their land, but he made harsh criticism of the White House and Pentagon orders to attack
the hills 937, 875, and 1338, which produced many American casualties, and after being conquered were soon returned to the Viet Cong. For the American soldiers were forced to retreat after the hills were 'conquered'. The Netflix documentary induces the error in this part, because these hills were places of intention presence of the enemy, which is denied in the documentary, unfortunately.

For the Nam Vet he would return only to be ridiculed. He was ordered to enforce our policy. A policy of aiding South Vietnamese defence but found them unwilling to defend themselves. Imagine a football game in which you couldn't pass the 50yard line n permit your opponent in your huddle. Certainly that game wasnt designed to be won. That war was the dawn of political con that unfolded into 911 n unjustifiable wars in the Middle East.

King Kennedy's war, the wonderful democrats kept it going in honor of their fallen god. They hated Nixon for forcing the communists to the paris peace talks and then defunded the south vietnamese government, letting them fall to soviet backed north. Ho Chi Minh was on our side fighting the japanese during WW2, all he wanted was for us to not let the french colonials back in to rule Vietnam. Our democrat president of the time, Truman, turned on him and broke our agreement.

Hey guys...you wouldn't be going back to Vietnam...if you didn't go there in the first place. You had NO right or legitimate reason to be there. The Vietnamese did nothing to Americans or the USA. It was basically an Asian civil war for independence after decades of colonization/occupation. They're doing just fine without you. And for you who are wearing your military hats...show some damn respect. They were the victors and you're in their country as a guest.
