I have this engine in my Jetta A5. I have the air intake reworked in the car. The engine pulls much better from the bottom of the revs. You can overtake in last gear and that is what I often do :D

What do you mean by reworked air intake?
This involves feeding only cold air into the engine. The entire intake system is original, only the air intake is changed.
