I don't know this artist, but her performance is amazing. She is somehow able to make "Oh Comely" her own while staying true to the creepy-yet-hauntingly-beautiful breath of Jeff Mangum's lyrics and melody pop in a sweet-yet-eerie and very in-tune way.

The only reason I clicked on this was because I saw a female presenting person perform a cover of the song and I thought it was brave. However I heard what she did not sing in the lyrics and I immediately changed my viewpoint. That was not brave. Nor was it ambitious. From one lady to another it was actually kind of disappointing. And from someone who is a fan, I don’t appreciate the edits to the lyrics of what was already perfect prose. Lastly, the disjointed timing and odd energy brought to the stage with all of the silly flourishes and persona to be considered this was a poor song choice for her even if it was in her vocal range. “Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.”
