    What a good interview.. ^^ A lot deeper than the ones I have seen before.. usually they just ask what the difference is between a Boss and a Bawse.. I'm glad you dove deeper into her persona :)

    I'm a second year journalism student and I want to be this good in leading an interview. It really felt like the two of you were just down for a cup of coffee. The questions were really interesting, pointed and the interviewer really did his homework with her life and work. I absolutely love it. I am talking to someone for my paper in a few weeks and I am so nervous because I can't seem to think of good questions. I'm taking this as an inspiration of how to conduct a great quality interview. Great job!

      Good luck with your interview. Do what Tom does: prep, research, listen, and then do more prep, and you'll do great!

    What a deep and insightful interview - such as all her interviews seem to be. So proud of this woman- she is a definition of turning depression and pain into positivity and something enlightening such as humor. I love that she's Canadian and from Toronto just like me! I have followed her from the start at 2010 when I stumbled across her and I never thought that she would go beyond the south Asian population and it's truly amazing how much impact she has to so many out there. Thanks for being so open about life and struggles especially the internal ones like
    Depression. Hopefully one day I'll get to meet her in person! She seems such an amazing and phenomenal person who is so unapologetically herself which is truly inspiring as she shows she is not perfect and has flaws herself! Very proud to see a brown person who started from the bottom but keep achieving success through being herself and working hard and being determined! It's important that depression being talked about universally and especially as she mentioned in south Asian culture! I can totally relate being a psychology professional as I also went to both undergrad and grad school for psychology! You are inspiring and always continue to be amazing! ❤️

      Gotcha! We go for some of those extreme close ups to draw people in, give some emotional insight... and it looks cool from time to time. Not working for you?

  • @CrazyChaosClara
    @CrazyChaosClara 6 років тому

    This is all very moving and inspiring and beautiful... but don't call it depression... mental illness is something more complex than the struggle of growing up... depression does not go away from thinking positive alone. Do not get me wrong! For MOST people BEING depressed is a phase that you can push out of with a little help.. but DEPRESSION the mental illness is something different and before we fully understand it we should be very careful to explain how to fight it... again for MOST people being a bawse will work.. but some will need professional help. Don't go around thinking every depressed person has depression and should just "snap out of it" it's not that simple and very hard to know the difference... be careful what you say you might end up hurting someone who is trying ALL they can to get better and just can't because he or she ACTUALLY has depression and that doesn't go away through positive thinking on it's own...
