First off, I love the channel. The stories are my favorite videos of your channel. I was just wondering if you might think about making a few videos on making transmitters? Like in the good ole days, happy times they was. Like valve mw transmitter or something like that? If you're busy or don't want to I understand. I was thinking it would be great fun to watch and learn from you. You tell the best stories,so I thought you might want to teach some of your old time skills with us?? Big fan, love the channel. Please keep the videos coming. Thank you from Jason out of Muskegon Michigan USA.
Great stuff Ray I love old technology. I have recently built a 1930s style 807 breadboard CW transmitter. I am in worthing later today as we are down visiting family in Bognor. I may hear you on 145.500 if you are around. 73...M0DAD David

Ray - wonderful stuff - I love old telegraphy equipment - if only it could talk about the good old days
I'm sure it could tell a story or two!
Hi Ray similiar units like this were basically used as repeaters. So the relay had contacts feeding another length of wire. Cheers from old George
Thanks George, I didn’t know that. Cheers, Ray.
Love to know more about that morse gadget on top of your radio you briefly demonstrated. Glad to see you on the Tube again.
It’s a Datong Morse tutor from the 1970s. See here…. www.radio-workshop.co.uk/g4nsj-morse-code-cw/
Wonderful workshop you have.
Thanks!

I wish I could help. I’ve not solved my noise problem yet. If I do, I’ll let you know.
I'm curious Ray. What is the resistance of the relay coils and is the power supply you're using current limited? 73 Al
I thing the resistance is 500 ohm. I should have made a note if it. The power supply was 12 volts.
How do power the Telegraph is it ac or dc?
It's 12 volts DC
@@g4nsj thanks. What are using to convert it to dc?
Brilliant, I have a video of my brass horse shoe sounder.. Flat earth technology rules..
No copy on that OM. All I hear is a bunch of clicking.
It’s a sounder relay which doesn’t produce a tone.
