- I don't think this is my last teardown video. But the direction saber interactive is going makes the game less desirable for everyone. I love teardown and the modding community! Lets hope they don't go ruin a good thing. I will NOT be buying the DLC.

I hate it when companies change the UI and don't add an option to switch back to classic. Also, they need to stop making "deluxe edition" of games.

@@MasterBroNetwork Fortnites new ui isnt that bad
The only good “deluxe” game is Mario kart 8 deluxe

It may not even be Saber at fault here. I looked into it and Saber is owned by the Embracer Group which may seem like nothing but Wreckfest is published by THQ Nordic which is also owned by the Embracer Group. And surprise surprise Wreckfest also has excessive DLC and season passes.
Yep, though, then again, Wreckfest is delevoped by Bugbear entertainment
with the state of the industry and the larger economy, indie devs have little hope of holding onto their creations while also turning enough profit to sustain themselves. Big groups like Embracer inevitably gain control whether it's direct or indirect, the best we can do is keep supporting the indie scene
Embracer Group are honestly quite weird in how they operate if I have to be honest, It's like if Microsoft or Sony were to buy out practically every studio to beat out their competition.
Yes it's giving you bad performance of your game teardown because of the second creator because the creator ruined it
Saber owns mudrunner snowrunner and some other car games that did alr
Gotta love how fast it went from “fun passion project” to “nickel-and-dime the players to death” as soon as a big company bought it out.
RIP Teardown. You were a genuinely good game ruined by greed.
Welcome to capitalism
@@GurkenbauerTimwelcome to human greed. No amount of socialism is going to fix that.
@@GurkenbauerTim Oh shit! I thought that selling goods for profit was communism. Thanks bro.
Yeah sure. A system that teaches you from infant age on that everything in your life has to be profitable, that literally leaves you to die if you dont satisfy the shareholders enough is surely not responsible for a greed mindset manifesting in the people's mind. Yeahh, go continue living in your fantasy rainbow world.@@dieselgeezer18
What i worry about is that Saber tends to just never fix bugs in their games, SnowRunner literally is one of the buggiest games i‘ve ever played
and we never get to have new free stuff, its worst than EA at this point
they added a bunch of stuff to Dakar Desert Rally and I’ve been having a bit of fun, apart from the bit where the road snap doesn’t work in any of the DLC locations and the cars controlling like they’re on ice
@@FigQcEA makes the base game sucks. The base game for snowrunner is pretty good. Saber just makes paid dlc, which imo isn't a big deal
Saber runs killing floor 2 there has been a bug for the playstation version that if more than 3 players in a match the game crashes its driven the playerbase down to nothing they know about the bug and its been there since march 2023 honestly just a 5 star company
I refunded snowrunner cause it doesn’t even have a good manual gearbox
RIP to my most played game. I spent so many hours making and playing mods for this, so it almost feels personal.
spent a year on a tank mod making my own tanks and tweaking code of avf and the whole update ruined most of it and i lost weeks of stuff i made :( and one of my maps i was working on is super broken now too
mf you can still play it, the standard version is still normal exept for the UI
@@Someone-sc2hkthe game is way more unstable now, some mods straight up break
@@ZillaYT. yeah but surely it's not unplayable
@@Someone-sc2hk I agree, it is still playable. But a game's experience shouldn't get worse after an update, and that is exactly what is happening with the broken mods, poor UI, and worse performance, with the season pass just being the final nail in the corporate coffin. The game may not be completely dead, but it's future appears to be.
Tuxedo Lab's older company Mediocre games made the highest quality arcade games on phones. Their games only had one 3$ in-app purchase that enabled checkpoints. Thats it. No ads at all either. They disbanded due to lack of funds but never went that route. I refuse to believe Tuxedo labs did this. The core game is the work of like 2 people.
all you have to do is look at how saber runs thier business (cough cough snowrunner) to see this was thier doing. the over monetization and this whole concept of yearly season passes for "non-online" games and making said seasons passes not even include every dlc was started by them.
I can still remember playing the brilliant Does Not Commute, and then realizing that those who created it were now behind Teardown. Good times.
@@feder28 Smash hit was one of the main games I played as a child and I really liked that they also made teardown, which I bought the day it was release. Really sad seeing this happen to the games I loved a lot
I learned this a while back. :D
It's pretty cool that the same people behind Smash Hit, a game I've played for a long time, also made Teardown.
smash hit forever in my heart
Yes, the horses do bug out like that in the Time Campers DLC.
This is the saddest video I've seen. I remember when art vandals dropped, I was so shocked that we got more official content for free. And when I saw the new option in the menu "expansions" I thought that this will be the future of Teardown - devs giving you small doses of new content from time to time to keep people and modders engaged, but look what it turned out to be...
i haven’t played this gane yet but i’ve played similar games and it’s so sad to see things like this get ruined
Honestly, there's going to be someone who just recreates the DLCs and uploads them as mods. Mark my word!
I wish teardown was aliblived
What a wonderful idea except oh wait
"Recreation of individual assets is permitted, republishing DLCs in its full form is not allowed. Encrypted files are encrypted for various reasons but one of those is to prevent them from being used for modding purposes regardless of line of action.
With that said, we will still allow a large part of new assets to be used in mods, and as you will see the modding experience will remain an essential part of Teardown going forward."
Damn, that sucks. Can't believe they had the brainpower to write that in. All jokes aside, I'm still gonna play the game. I'm not really a modder, so I don't care that much about the whole DLC thing lmao.
@@Verchiel_ What's stopping a group of people from remaking all the assets (and eventually the entire DLC) and just constantly reuploading the mod outside of Steam?
There’ll probably be people who recreate them in their entirety from scratch but better and free
Guys, when someone uploads the whole mod (if this even happens), subscribe to it and store it somewhere on your pc. It'll get taken down but you'll have it.
use the Local Copy button in the mod menu
Turn it into a Winrar zip.
Imagine sacrificing an overwhelmingly positive review score for short term profit
ok so good to know that saber wont get rid of modding
i learned that from replies
I completely doubt they will. It’s the main part of tear down.
they wont their game would probably lose alot of players cuz what would there be to do?

I was a player in the earlier days of the game, with the smaller, better UI, when the game was $20 instead of $30, and when everything was nice. I even 100% the games achievements and campaign. I'm glad I did that when I did, because these days it feels like the game just isn't that great anymore with all the changes made, and it feels more like a chore to open the game.
Fortunately, I got the dlc when it was on sale. And yes, because of the horse’s AI, it freezes midair

It was such a good game with a beloved devs but i hope saber doesn't make the game bad we can only hope
Edit: I thought of a way don't buy any future dlc so they don't earn more money and quit it
Edit2: wow My first second edit anyway it doesn't look good by the news the comments gave me it doesn't look good for teardown :(
they also bought snowrunner and filled it with hundreds of dollars of dlcs. each dlc being 5 dollars
Let's hope we don't have to pay to play maps
@Bro-vs5mk also snowrunner that was a good game
so.. boycott it?
@@onlyjpg what do you mean
I have played teardown since the first hour after release and just because there’s a season pass doesn’t mean I’m leaving teardown.
I really love Teardown so I bought the Season Pass and really enjoyed the Time Campers expansion, but still. The Art Vandals expansion was just given to us for free, you know. :/

I just got teardown on my computer and I got it during the steam sale, I saw a dlc and all the stuff was 3-4 dollars, maybe 2-3 so I just bought it because why not? I thought saber interactive was always there with it. But like… I can’t play the game, I try to load the campaign, the word loading stops getting big and small, I try to load the sandbox, and guess what? I WON’T LOAD! Thanks saber, I wanted this game forever 2-3 years and this year was the year I remembered the Black Friday sale and got it. Now I CAN’T EVEN PLAY THE GAME
Saber did the same thing with snowrunner/mudrunner i think. Not only did the add a whole season pass similar to this game but they also said they would have everything in said season passes ( they didn't )
It‘s snowrunner and it‘s really not big of an issue there because all the DLCs / season passes are very cheap and affordable
@angelthewolf
How about.. no?
As an aside, the entire Spintires/Mudrunner story is lowkey sad.
@@wilkgr The games themself are really good, but i feel like we would be at a totally different point today if Mudrunner wasn‘t abandoned due to legal problems
@@Angelthewolf I don't think it was due to legal issues. I think Saber wanted a colourful game that *looked* a lot more attractive and that differed from Pavel's vision for the game.
I remember waiting since before release for this game, buying it the day it came out, and playing the entire first part of the story and waiting for the next big update. It was great, supporting a small studio who was pretty close to the community and gave what we wished for. It was exactly what I wanted from a game. But now I don't even wanna touch it anymore past finishing the last Tuxedo bits of the story I never got around to.

Not only did the aesthetics reminded everyone of Minecraft now the new pass will remind everyone of minecraft's marketplace and clunky UI
After a week we get more teardown
yes
Its a horrible thing for them to do but if you use a bad computer all the levels and stuff load 5x faster which is cool i guess.
It's a pity that the buyout has gone this way. I've seen small development studios get bigger and better than ever before from buyouts and I've also seen so many get crushed by over monetization.
The only thing you should worry is the potential of even more dlc after the season pass. The season pass is actually reasonably priced eventhough youre doubling the price of the game it atleast adds new content in terms of campaigns and not just lazy skin packs for example.
I can't think of a time when a buyout was actually a good thing. On paper the studio might grow (assuming it's not almost immediately shut down...) but the quality of the games plummet.
When a company writes a letter saying how they've been generously expanded and will keep doing the same good work, you shouldn't take their word for it.
History shows those boilerplate letters don't reflect how well things are actually going for the product and for the customers.
@@dakat5131 You make a good point, buy out is the wrong word. I'm thinking more along the lines of mergers which are more mutually beneficial without inherent corporat overlord-ing knowing exactly what to do to make more money.
Season passes usually mean the games is probably is gonna go on a downward spiral@@smarty265

Hi Bandi its been months since i've watched your videos i love the teardown videos❤
i think once that tool that allows for like C++ or C# coding or whatever it is comes out the modding community will just kinda slowly separate from the devs as modding with be more advanced and past the in game mod tools we have now, and it will allow for more tools by having a direct hook into the engine.
I have an old version of Teardown on my pc which still conserves everything good about the game... I'm glad I can still enjoy it
The end of the bandi year down series by this season for now
What?
i would also like to know the original intent of this comment
I don't think the motivation will die, in fact I feel it'll grow out of spite
I'm loving this industry of making great games and then making them completely unplayable
maybe we could try to talk to saber and say what they should add/remove so that they can make the game better? maybe if we just try to accept it it will go better? we should not be angry( even though the GUI is HORRIBLE) against saber, we should be happy the game still exists, that the game is still here and that the game is still good!(except the gui) we should be happy for tear- i mean tuxedo labs, maybe they got a lot of money? THE GAME IS NOT DEAD!!
saber do not care what you or any other player wants, they are a machine for turning games into money.
You are unbelievably naive.
This is such a braindead mindset. Dont settle for the bare minimum if you want things to improve
You should realize that companies DO NOT care about you
Im confused. Teardown is still being played and updated with new content. A dead game doesn't do that. Saber seems to be helping out so that means more updates and better content. Am i not knowing something or are people overreacting?
I also seen people whining over the UI. The UI looks the same to me besides the pause menu UI. I prefer the new one over the old one to be honest.
Gamers are so ignorant, self-titled, and privileged. This isn't that big of a deal.
PC players can’t exist without coming up with ways they’re somehow oppressed
@@garyclarkiii730And that’s why consoles are the superior way to game.

Wow The Office predicted the soulless corporate company name lol
I am a ps5 player and i wish we could have good mods made by other people
this game had way too much potential. Very sad to see they're limiting its capabilities instead.
bandi is probably the best UA-camr I watch fr
The moment I saw the Saber logo I was confused but realized they were involved somehow.
for me at least, they need to add back the fov settings, it feels like I'm looking through a toilet roll when I play the game.

I love your videos bandi keep it up on the good work
Am I going insane? I very much remember the UI being exactly like this in previous versions of the game lol
No you're correct, the internet is just being its typical internet self and literally making shit up to get mad about
Several key differences;
The tool selection ui is much larger, and now has a yellow and black overlay on your selected tool.
The sandbox map selection screen has much bigger thumbnails for the maps.
The spawn menu has been almost completely redone, complete with scaling changes and a different way of selecting categories in said menu (You need to click the category, the sub category, and then the thing you want to spawn, instead of just clicking the category and then the thing you want to spawn).
@@mysteryboyeeNo, it's bigger and you can't change it...
As a console player, we dont have access to all the pc mods, we have a few made by tuxedo labs but thats it no mod manager either
So sad to see, I followed Dennis Gustafsson since his first post on Twitter about the stuff he is working and before it was even called Teardown, nerver thought he would sell out though :/
For me, this update broke some mods and the game itself, it wouldn’t let me open other windows while playing or screen share so I hope they fix it

Universal ''Space war'' helps every time
The tuxedo labs teardown is one of my favorite games of all time. It's super unfortunate to see it in this state, and I hope modders and maybe the devs can keep the game alive in the future.
Teardown was legit an amazing game with a very good campaign mission, planning an entire run so you could get out as fast as possible with all the objectives was great and i'm not even a big fan of that type of content and the physics was the creme of the crop, i was hoping teardown 2 could possibly have had weight physics so you could topple buildings but now it looks like that'll sadly never happen.
Rest in peace to a great game🕊️
