Thanks so much for this. I have the Juki MO-2516 FF6-50H. Such a great workhorse, but I need to pull it apart for some moderate cleaning. I 'll be using your download for the manual to help me out. This baby, along with my Juki 5550 single needle are my best sewing friends!!
That's a dandy setup, Alex. I could see someone having a ball with that, finishing canvas (or hemp....) bags and perhaps clothing as you described. Always a pleasure, beats anything on TV.
Excellent machine by Juki. Someone custom-made the bottom machine table that holds the machine. Should’ve been adjustable. But I don’t blame you because The original base is hard to fine and cost a lot of money.
Hi… great video ! I have a question… I’ve removed the cutter that goes up and down because it’s not cutting well… the thing is that, I’ve ordered a new blade, but I’d like to be 100% how to place it back properly. Can you help me out ? Thanks
man this brings me back as my parents had sweatshop and yeah thanks for making this video that i so happen to stumbled on via your pouch making and i miss my pops making me feel feelings again. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellkingofthatfALL
I already sold this one. Mine had a threading diagram on the back of the cover. That is how I got mine threaded. Plus I got some pointers from experts on Instagram. Take it one thread at a time.
Hi. Would you know how different is this from the MO-2316 which is what I have. I acquired it used and there was no manual. Can't seem to find one online. I want to use this for my charity group sewing so any help will be much appreciated
Hello! Sorry to bother but i was wonder if you can show me how you build the frame support for that machine. I haven't got any luck finding online parts at good price and want to set my head on a table i have already.
Hello Alex, I just bought a Juki MO-2512 and I was wondering if you had the manual available by any chance? The manual linked for this model has actually helped somewhat. Thank you for all that you do!
If you wanted to just do a 3 thread overlock without the safety stitch, could you also do it with this machine? Or you would need a separate 3 thread machine?
I know this is an old video But wanted to ask, can you do a merrow stitch around patches with this machine? The 2516 ff6-500. I have seen it done with the 2516N, just wondering if the 2516 can as well. I found a uses one for sale, but looking to only use to do boarders around patches
Thanks for the video. I would like to know more about the process that you talked about in the beginning. I want to be able to create a seam like you find at the bottom of a tee-shirt. Thank you.
Hello, I inherited a juki MO-2516, class FF6-50H, unfortunately I don't know what to do with it. My aunt said the knife broke. Where can I buy accessories?
I just got this machine I’m trying to thread it I did the 4 threads that go through the front I’m trying to do the 5th one that’s on the back but I have to feed the thread through a tube and I have no idea how to get it through :/ does anyone know how I could get it through maybe there’s a certain way I’m supposed to do it
Can u do a video on how to change the oil on the juki mo2500, I got the machine from my late mom however the machine has not been use for 20 year and I think the old should be changed.
Sorry, the machine is sold so no video will be possible. There is a drain plug at the bottom of the machine, remove it and the oil will drain out. Replace the plug and fill through the clear cap in the top till full. 3:50
Not sure about it. I tend to use tex 27 since there are 5 threads involved, they tend to lay down better. Also if you do try to use 69 make sure you use cotton or another very pliable thread since bonded nylon would probably be too stiff. You will need to consider needle size to accommodate the larger thread and I am not sure how large of thread the looper eyes would handle.
Im trying to find out oil capacity of this thing. Any idea?, Ive not found any info online. My oil guage is not working pegged to top even when empty. Any info appreciated.
That doesn't sound too good. I would open it up and clean it out somehow if I could. To answer your question though I don't know where to find a capacity spec.
@@AlexanderDyer Figured it out. Took top cover off. 3 screws. Removed oil guage reader (clear plastic), loosened the orange wire that goes up and down. Its about 26 oz. to top it off to where oil is just above the floater below the orange wire. Guage now shows full, but not overfilled.
I recently started watching your channel. I am setting up a manufacturing business. I will be sewing mainly sporting apparels and would like to know which Juki overlock would best suit my need.. Preferably an older used series.
Gosh, I don't know friend. I am a guy that buys these things as I find them, learn what I can and pass it on. I don't have any manufacturing experience and the number of variables is myriad. I suggest finding a reputable dealer in your area that can advise and help set up for your particular needs.
Hi Alex, do you have any information for the accessory guide? I'm trying to find it for myself but I can't seem to find it. Would you be interested in selling me the accessory? Thank you!
Very nice, I just purchased my MO2500 but it's a class FF6-320, which I believe is gathering for lightweight materials. I know I can adjust the differential feed to not gather, but is it possible to overlock the heavierweight materials like canvas with a lighter weight class? Is it just a matter of swapping feed dogs or plates or making adjustments?
Im just about to buy a new old stock RIMOLDI b29 5 thread. It comes with its matching green original table with rounded tube legs and thrash chute. Do you have any experience with the older b27 or b29 rimoldis?
I am not sure but Merrow makes so many it seems reasonable to assume that they do make a machine to produce this stitch. They are still in business if you would like to inquire with them.
Sorry, I misspoke. I saw that information in a manual I found online. alexanderdyer.work/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Juki-MO-2500-MO-2400-Engineers-Manual.pdf
Parts should be available. Juki is very popular and still in business although they have moved on from this model. This one will be available on eBay in a few days.
A list of features rather than an adjustment video. Some times chaining can be attained simply with proper adjustment of tensions but other times looper timing and clearances need adjustment.
@@AlexanderDyer thank you for the encouragement. Once I learn to move the parts , I was able to start with Needle height, set lower looper, adjust upper to lower, etcetera. Sews like a champ
Hi Annete. Yes, this one will be for sale and I ship but it can be a bit expensive if you want the table and all. Just the head is more affordable but then you have to figure out how to mount.

thanks for this. just got a 2516N last week. did a lot to it to upgrade it. love this machine.
good to see you again Alexander!

Please could you show how to use the protective edge in case of not wanting to cut the edge of the fabric?

Please can you do a video on how to thread and use the Emel overlocking machine EM 747G with four threads and two needles.
Yes, how you threaded? Please make a video, thank you.
Fascinating stuff! Amazing quality of manufacture. Glad you are back, thanks for the upload.

Hello. Is there any videos showing how to set up the cutters ? Thanks you
can you give an idea how adjust to raise up the feed dog. Because, sometimes doesn't move if I reach the thick or joined portion.Thank you
Nice machine Alexander! I'm keeping my eye out for a similar machine. My current serger doesn't like heavy fabric.
You would like this one then.
Can you please show how to do a gather shearing stitch on this exact juki?
I have a juki 2516. It sew without the blade. Once I put the blades it does not sew
I'm looking for a threading diagram for this machine
Can you do a single/double needle chainstitch? On this machine?
Thank you very much for shearing .
I have this same model. Nice video.
I have this exact machine. So you have any video of trouble shooting this machine. Or can you do a threading video? 🙏
I already sold this one. Mine had a threading diagram on the back of the cover. That is how I got mine threaded. Plus I got some pointers from experts on Instagram. Take it one thread at a time.

When we replace the needle, is the scarf of the needle facing to the right?
Constructive, precise, educational. Thank you.

i have a juki mo-2512 i'm having trouble locating where the 2 oil filters go can any help me where to locate on machine
Hi Alexander, thanks for the video. where did you get the seam guide? Thanks
Hola tengo 7na máquina igual, pero 6a no trae la guía para los hilos, me la podría enviar en una foto?? Please 🙏
Really great video! Thank you. I have the same machine and can’t figure out how to thread though the tube in the back for the 5th thread. Any help?

Call hendersonsewing.com
I love my JUKI no-2516!!
Just gotta figure out how to empty the filter screen

Question…. Can you use this model to sew only the chain stitch & not the overlock? That would only use 2 threads I think.
I believe that is possible.

Hey Alexander what type and size of thread are you using here?
It is either tex 27 or tex 40 spun poly
