A human's depth perception can be so altered by something as little as a simple change of perspective. Amazing
3:15 I know how they do it (and the other penta thing) with one way glass. It transmits in one direction and reflects in the other, so you can see in and it also reflects when the other half or the light reflects internally. And the image we do see would be way darker than it really is.

1:40 is confusing. I believe the person was in a hotel room overlooking Sydney harbour and just filmed the window and backed up which makes the image appear bigger by remaining the same size as the distance grows. Am I wrong here? Because if not, it's an image on a screen that is being zoomed in while the person is backing up at the exact same speed. I think it's the first situation though.

Not really, some of the tricks are made by the "video recording" like rotors of engines in air plane, video is recording in the rows with some delays, that's why the rotors did bend themselves on the film.

its an illusion, because of how far away the opera house it, it doesnt change in size as much as the very close window frame, you can see more on vsause

Also, what is the illusion in relation to the Sydney Opera House at 1:38? To me it looks like a shot of the House through a window.

It happens mainly due to the camera. Check the internet for details.

The sliced face was pretty insane, loved the cuboids and spheres and always love to see laminar flow. I've never seen the rotor blades re-attaching themselves before though. Some really nice effects and good inspiration. I can see why flatards are so easily confused when it's so easy to blow the mind of someone that knows how some of these effects are created.
