  • Ultimate Beastmaster Season 2 was a true battle between rock climbers and parkour athletes. There were many parkour and climbing obstacles throughout the course, but in the end, only one group survived. This season was the ultimate climbing vs parkour challenge!

      I actually though it was pretty offensive how he put it "pro athlete vs cheerleading coach" like... I can understand that in the past cheerleading - as they used to literally just cheer during sport events - was not considered a sport or athletic. But since ALL STAR stunting became a thing it literally makes no sense. Like these guys have to literally toss up women (and sometimes men!) meters off the ground and balance them, twist them, again and again one stunt after the other. It takes some freaking superhuman strenght and coordination / athleticism to pull that off. I've seen so many pros that are literall beasts just from when you look at them you could think they are bodybuilders lol

    • @milspectoothpick4119
      @milspectoothpick4119 Рік тому +20

      @@illegitimate0 They just have strong arms in general. Gymnastics is all manipulating body movement and momentum. Having strength everywhere is key to being able to rapidly reposition your body for flips, spins, etc. which is why they'd also have vertical lifting as part of their strength routines mixed in. They basically do a traditional gymnastics competition routine inside of their cheer performance so they train whole body strength.
      Climbers would also benefit from it as well. Adam Ondre says part of his training routing is 1/3 antagonistic(opposite of climbing direction of pull) strength training because the balance is so helpful.

    I worked on this show. One of the gnarliest truss builds we've ever done. A lot of the metal you hear is actually the trussing holding the obstacle in place. In season 1, one of our testers was a world class climber, he was the only one who could get through all of our obstacles in the first test. He managed it by using a small crease between 2 pieces of plywood that nobody else could have possibly used to their advantage. It was nuts lol. All of us that built and designed these obstacles are climbers and parkour athletes though so it makes sense.

      @@CelestialDrifts Im a sound engieer and I could also tell those were real. Unless they went ahead and reverb scoped the room with a crowd in it. and then over lapped different samples of them hitting poles together. No show is going to make that much effort. you can hear the sound of lazy sampling a mile off just because the sound does fit exactly with the enviroment. Plus the force you can hear in the sound. It has the pulling of metal (impact and a slap back impact and then a 3rd +4th one >first impact is the person hitting the gear (strain on polls forward), the bouce back as the person either pulls back to get up or you get the rebound from (the rebound sound is the main one you hear usally unless the person cleared it fully then its just the first one), 3rd sound is the beam resablizing as the weight moves and 4th one is the person jumping off. What might have happened is they had one guy hit it especally hard and they reused that sample but the sounds all do sound different so I doubt it. But the main sound comes from the 1st or 2nd stage. If its fake you shouldn't be able to hear any of the other ones. Thats my 2 cents on what I can pick up just from listening to it.

They have to have strong arms, strong cores, strong legs, strong glutes, strong wrists, strong ankles, hand-eye-coordination, discipline, and good balance to do all those spins, turns, stunts, and tumbling. I admit the only thing that I was shocked about was that he was a cheer coach rather than a cheerleader. omg I watched and loved the show myself, 2 years ago. I JUST realised that unnamed obstacle course athlet is Kyle Soderman, A BEAST in World Chase Tag. My other favourite sport Parkour.. Man this episode was truly special to me. Keep it up! Love the content!

    The Chinese guy with the high altitude breathing mask is kinda lucky to be alive. Those things cause embolisms more than shitty nurses. It also doesn't even do the thing it's marketed to do, you get 0 benefit from it, compared to actually training at a high altitude

    i mean if you think abt it, the assumption for a moved body is that the killer is over 6’ and strong, yet cheerleaders repeatedly throw humans abt the same size as themselves 6’ in the fucking air for reps
