Remember, if you go out on a Solo Hike take a hatchet, a saw, an old kettle, a glass mug, and an oil lamp. Forget that a tent, sleeping bag, Jetboil stove, and torch would not only weigh less, but also be quicker to set up and give better protection from the elements.

Be careful swinging your hatchet towards your leg and knee when trimming branches off your uprights. You can really cut yourself badly and require immediate 1st aid!
