i never understood the notion of a hybrid dual sim. Why phones are sold like that. Is it too difficult to make 2 sim slots and an sd slot independently like the chinese phones do? Seriously , what are they thinking? Who needs a hybrid dual sim instead of a full dual sim?

Super pissed right now that i specifically bought a dual sim phone with expandable memory .. YET THE PHONE CANNOT SIMULTANEOUSLY USE 2 SIMS AND A MICROSD CARD. If you travel, you will have to continuously switch your sims. SMH

I think this hybrid sim slot is one of the worst things to have happened to smartphones IL rather have the option to use 2 simcard and an sd card then having a slimmer phone that doesn't make much of a difference.
I know I am a thicko but why do you need 2 sim cards? I wish to transfer from a Galaxy J5 (which has only one sim card) to a Galaxy A53 5G. What does the second sim card give you?
Let me explain to you let's say you have 2 lines on your plan and of course only have one phone instead of wasting all your uses of your plan (Hotspot) you can then switch sims to use the shit your paying for

Same size for both… called nano SIM card.
Only 1 sim card works even if 2 Sims are inserted and there is no option of sim card manager

It works. Your have to add the Sim Manager, update your software, and restart 2x

To use one as hotspot and the other for personal calls..
How to switch between sim1 and sim2? Other than physically switch the cards.

I had to pop out my sim out of a larger piece because it still was too large.

Just a word of warning - cards in the Sim2 slot slip out quite easily. Don't believe everything UA-cam tutorials tell you.
