When my close friend called me a loser one day, I felt betrayed, I was depressed for a very long time. Finally one day I asked him. His reply was 'well if you think you are not, then you not a loser'. I told him it was derogatory to call someone a loser. But it opened my mind about this friend. I realised a friend will never call you a loser. It took me many years to get over that word.
Everyday throughout my childhood by my dad, other kids because i was constantly bullied with no friends. Bullying eventually stopped at school when i finally snapped and almost put 2 of bullies in hospital. Never stopped from my dad, he still does it to this day. Ive overheard conversations he has with family friends when they ask how i am. He still says, "he is still a loser" And he wonders why i struggled with self esteem for so many years. 🙄
