I LOVE the velcro idea. My daughter is very visual so this would work perfect. Thank you!
Amazing! I’m new to homeschool and I’m gonna use this method. Genius!
the finger print animals is something I've been wanting to do! looks so fun! i can doodle rhymes looks fun too! i love Evan Moore!
The finger print animals was in my art bin and I finally remembered it! So glad I didn't let it sit so long my son outgrew it! He loves art but has little patience for it, if that makes sense, and the finger prints make these really quick projects!
Thank you for coming to visit!
OH I just thought of something! If you use crayola markers to color fingers they can do these on just plain paper! I got that idea from our pre-K All About Reading and because he loved doing those so much, I got this book! Totally forgot about that! So that's a fun way to see if the book would get some love!
Great video! 👍🏼 While we use a system that you described at the beginning with a weekly checklist, I love seeing other systems in case we have a student/child in the future that needs a different approach. We LOVE Spelling You See!
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Great explanation of your workbox system! We use our workboxes in a very similar way, though I may start changing out the contents more intentionally next year. Just to keep the "what next?" questions to a minimum now that 2 of them are homeschooling.
Project Happy Home mine doesn't ask what's next as much as, 'Can we skip this today? ' haha!
Yes Daily Notebooks are great. Also calendar notebooks. Confessions of a homeschooler has a daily notebook.
Love your videos. I am binge watching them lol
Thank you for watching and commenting!!!
I haven't seen your checklist but would LOVE to see inside that binder!!!
LOL Which one?
Just in case you're talking about the daily workbook, here is the link to what I use!

Yes whichever one has your checklist in it haha....you had mentioned you would do a video on it, but I couldn't find it. :D Thanks for the link!
OH ok! Yes, I did a video on it! Here it is!! :)

This was helpful! Thank you. I like the velcro idea. Do you have a video on organization, switching out work boxes and what to put in there? Do you have a video on why you chose Timberdoodle and if you are liking it? I'm subscribed look forward to more :)
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you found it helpful! I don't have an organization video but the workboxes are my primary organization tool. I just keep what is currently being used and only swap out books once completed. Literature, historical fiction, etc., gets swapped out as needed. My video on my 1st grade Timberdoodle review goes into what I like about them. Thanks for subbing!

Honey Comb is actually Cubbies, the preschool curriculum for ages 3-4. It is a great book though.
I can doodle rhymes sounds fun ... and the animal one. TFS!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
We are planing to place our 1st grader into home school, we been struggling a lot! He just don’t like to go to school and he doesn’t do much work there... but he does all his homework at home, we are very interested to try homeschool probably he does better at home...
Thanks for the video! I love seeing what everyone else is doing! I need to get my workboxes organized
Thank you for watching! I may have to get ME a workbox system going I love this so much. HAHA! It's amazing how just having things more easily accessible and organized helps us stay focused!

Thank you for sharing! New friend to your channel!
I really do like your concept here. It's very visual for the kid and the parent. I might have to try something like this.
@@pfamilychannel8880 Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I'm so glad you found it helpful. We still use this system! And thank you for subbing, too!
I love these rolling carts, they are so functional, and great to keep everything organized! I use them with my daughter too. Great video! Just subscribed 😉
Where did you get those workbox labels?
I found the graphics online from free sources and then made them myself and laminated them!
How do u teach maths using wrapup's
I use wrap-ups for practice! It's just a fun way to drill the facts once they have learned them so they become faster with recalling them.
how many hours clas per day fist grade. thanks for the video
Not as much as it might seem by looking at all this stuff! We work for 20 min, then take a 5 minute break, and repeat, going through the work boxes. Each day we do a total of about 3 hours, maybe 4 if we do more of the hands on stuff. I split it up with a lunch break, too.
How is the level 4 reading going?
It's going great! I was a little concerned at first because he was a little intimidated by the length of the stories, but it didn't last long. I also had to review prefixes and suffixes, which were covered in level 3 that we skipped, but other than that, no regrets! We're maybe 2/3 through level 4 at this point!
