I've been trying to do this by the "push/pull through/on the mast foot" with the rig method everyone teaches to steer the board for several seasons and always just end up uphauling in frustration anyway lol. But the "car"/"bicycle" analogy makes a lot more sense and has me excited to try this again the next time I get on the fin! Great video and danke, Mario!!

Selenter See - lustig den Spot haben wir uns als Berliner auch mal angeschaut, BinnenSee Spot im Norden. In St.Peter-Ording Material gekauft, damit der Schlei gesurft, dann über Eckernförde zum Selenter See und weil dort niemand war und der Wind eh etwas knapp auf Fehmarn/Wulfen gefahren und Spaß gehabt.

It is very important to mention that front hand gives power. if you keep it straight, you will get lots of power and most probably will be pulled over the board, so you should bent it and pull mast to your body as soon as you feel too much power in sail while beeing pulled up.

Mir haben damals schon deine ersten Beach- und Wasserstarttutorials sehr geholfen. Ich finde den Vergleich mit dem LKW bzw. dem Fahrrad zur Boardkontrolle im Wasser super, einige mir wichtige Tipps gibt sonst keiner.

@@MarioKuempel Das Segel fiel Lee ins Wasser. Ich weiß nicht mehr, wo ich es festgehalten habe. Ich denke, ich hatte es vielleicht schon zu weit senkrecht gestellt.

Kenn ich - zunächst bei viel zu wenig Wind geübt und oft nicht hoch gekommen und als dann der Wind kam, haute es mir das Segel aus der Segelhand und schlug um, weil ich den Mast nicht korrekt in den Wind gezogen habe. ..
