If Carol lied about the previous perma ban, what’s stopping them from lying about not being banned previously on this account for 48 hours, 1 week, etc. whatever the lead up to a 2 week would be? That’s probably what happened
I can only think of one scenario that doesn't rely on BHVR spite banning for 2 weeks: Its likely that they had already accrued enough bans on that account that the next ban (this one) was going to be a two week ban. This makes sense regardless of if this ban was an auto ban or a manual ban as it would likely just flag the account to trigger the next ban stage. What's troubling about this is that if since BHVR has this sort of "ban-carry-over" between accounts rule you would expect that they have some way of automatically detecting if more than one account belongs to the same user but obviously that isn't the case. This means that its very likely that repeat offenders are getting away with a slap on the wrist using new accounts when they should be receiving a much harsher punishment.
Behavior spaghetti codes their bans too, meant to say 2 days or 1 week but because Fixated had its name changed multiple times that means that the option instead combined both, thus the 2 week option.
The late extension of a ban makes some sense to me. A moderator catches some bad behavior, the only thing they could very simply apply in that moment is a time-limited ban. That will just about always make sense. It can take a bit more time for that moderator to learn about other notes - to see what some of the detailed rulings are, past cases, or even just "how bad" that caught offense was. Just like bugfixes, it may take time and processing from multiple people to decide "Yes, the original act deserves a permanent ban" especially since during the day they're dealing with so many other cases.
Something worth noting is they *only* injected addons. 60 of each addon. Carol still purchased every DLC again. They really weren't trying to rob anyone even if they still probably shouldn't have done that.
My first DBD account was banned out of nowhere a year after I stopped playing and EAC never responded to any of my attempts to reach out. I didn't really care all that much because I had been playing on a different account by that point that was originally a meme account but turned into my primary, but I really didn't understand why the hell my first account got banned and just wanted some information. To this day, EAC never unbanned my account and BHVR was beyond unhelpful. I have never liked EAC since.
injecting is only okay if you had already paid for, or earned the items, then for some reason you lost access to them, such as a ban or some other way. If you paid for it, you own it, regardless and have a right to that property.

Are we sure Carol's new account didn't have any previous bans? If they lied about one thing, they'll likely lie about another. It's also possible Carol said things in end game chat that would result in a longer ban (that they left out).
I think also some important context is we don’t know if the survivors were also banned. I think Carol themself said they don’t know. So the survivors might have also been banned.
Why did this guy get the 2 week ban? The devs didn't realize this player had been banned permanently the case gain relevance and in the end the delevopers find the player had been banned before for cheating. This player had already been permanently banned for injecting in the account, if u are banned (HWID) you can't play again.
I'm gonna tackle something else you said in the beginning: at least for Ada it is without a shadow of a doubt clear that she did not intend to further the game. If you look back at the video evidence provided you can clearly see her crouching (meaning she is not afk) next to the hook while the killer is approaching her. Given how her terror radius becomes louder and louder, she sees the red stain and hears the Spirits soundeffects yet still chooses to neither run nor at least walk away from the position she gets body blocked in is proof that she did not intend to run away from the killer in order to survive and further her goal of escaping by either buying the David time to do gens or escaping the killer and do gens on her own.
to me one of two things has to be the case. to begin, it seems obvious to me that the 2 week ban was placed WITHOUT the knowledge of this person's previous account. taking that forward... either 1: bhvr heavily overshot on the initial ban. maybe they meant 2 days intead of 2 weeks? idk how exactly the ban system works. could ofcourse also still be a grudge employee who made the ban too high on purpose. or option 2: Carol is lying and this account HAS been banned before for a shorter duration and they either did not notice (say they were banned for 2 days, but did not open the game during that time/it crashed on load-up) or they willingly hid this info. They've already done it once, so who is to say they are now suddenly speaking true?
my guess is the 2 week ban was because all of the survivors reported or maybe even sent in footage out of context to make it seem like he was doing the worst possible, then after he complained on twitter bhvr realized "what hes been banned before" and upped it to perma. that would be my most logical attempt at a guess.
Maybe carol did a lot of body blocking in x amount of time and they saw the multiple reports of it and just said “give her two weeks” or something like that. But the lying about never being banned was crazy since she had basically witches hunter bhvr on twitter for it.
They need to add a endmatch call vote They also have a problem with killers being afk with script and slow down gen perks it was like 5 games in a row yesterday i uninstall that shit because of it
I have only one way reason to rationalize the two week ban with the hypothetical situation that the owner of the account was not lying about previous bans on that account. Behaviour knew from the moment of banning that this is his second account with previous bans or this current account had cheated statistics. I have history of working for company running a game server and before we issued permanent bans we wanted to have another person or two to review and come to the same conclusion, especially if we had juniors developers / moderators still fresh in the work. So what we would do is issue longer ban than normally, just to give time for all parties to do their priority tasks and then take a look into it. You don't want the player be able to play during the investigation for risk of him or her ruining the experience for others intentionally, but you also did not want set it undetermined timeline without deadline if the conclusion is uncertain. Thus two weeks is very reasonable ban window for this process to take place, which was expedited by social media presence and they looked into it immediately.
They could have given a two week ban because of previous small offences. For someone who does that kinda shit on purpose and save injects, I would expect them to have been in trouble with that before, and Carol could be (not saying he is) keeping quiet about that to maintain that grey area of the two week ban up in the air for twitter to fight over
He'll have had another offense at some point most likely to warrant the 2 week ban, most likely. It was too obvious it wasn't his first offense, but that he's been perma banned in the past is just...not what I expected. Yikes.
@@ssspike1696 Oh, and also making a big deal out of it on Twitter with the whole #freecarol stuff. And the deleted tweets where he was shitting on Behavior.
I mean its save injecting. They aren't hurting anyone by using cosmetics and perks. Regardless, none of this should have happened because you were standing in front of a survivor who had another teammate. The game was being artificially extended but at no point was it physically unplayable like if both players were stuck in a corner. Behavior could always just add a counter measure to prevent such an event. If the killer is standing within a 4 meter radius for an extended period of time, make the killers collision disappear until they move 8 meters away or something.
"Why was the initial ban 2 weeks?" Is it really too difficult to imagine that they lied about never getting banned on the account before? I assume the first ban, they did not realize it was someone that already had a perma ban on a past account. Which they only realized when taking a closer look at the situation in response to the uproar they were causing.
1. I can understand why Carol told that it's the first ban. Because she thought that this is a new account and it never was banned. So she could've thought that this account is clean. In reality BHVR is tracking HWID and any amount of new accounts won't save you as long as your PC hardware is the same. 2. By BHVR rules after getting 2nd permanent ban you CAN ( I tested this myself) get a HWID ban. So basically there is a good chance that Carol is banned forever, no matter how many new accounts she will create. There are still some options to continue playing DBD in HWID ban situation, but do you think that permaban(i'm pretty sure that this is a HWID ban) is justified here? My problem with BHVR is that they overuse their power in situations when it's not needed and do the opposite when it comes to the real issues.
Carol is already playing on a new account, so no, she was not mac-banned. Bhvr maybe only mac-bans cheaters, idk. are u sure u got mac-banned? Didnt even know for certain if BHVR even does that. Cuz theres a YTer that cheats and just makes new accounts every time they get banned.
People generally don't view save injecting as cheating because you can get the items in game. I could understand that position if they save injected say 10 common toolboxes, medkits, and flashlights to one character. But, how can you justify injecting 60 of each add on to all characters even ones you haven't spent BP on? Like there is an order of scale here we need to account for.
@@darththeo Meh, I don't care. It's a tedious grind that adds nothing to the game, and it has no impact on any individual game. Every possible loadout was already possible to see in any random match.

Theory: The first ban was triggered automatically and the reason why it wasn't permanent from the get-go is because of cross progression breaking something that has to do with checks in those regards
Behavior might have been showing a little compassion with the lighter ban. Then they saw the complaint and lies so they said fudge it, you lie, perma ban.

If Carol lied about the previous perma ban, what’s stopping them from lying about not being banned previously on this account for 48 hours, 1 week, etc. whatever the lead up to a 2 week would be? That’s probably what happened
oh you finally put the fire out
I can only think of one scenario that doesn't rely on BHVR spite banning for 2 weeks:
Its likely that they had already accrued enough bans on that account that the next ban (this one) was going to be a two week ban.
They really weren't trying to rob anyone even if they still probably shouldn't have done that.
it could be possible that the offender did something else that caused the 2 week ban after they looked into it
Glad the court room flames have calmed and we are no longer in threat of being burned
Instead of a Law and Order thing, you should use a "crowd gasping in surprise" sound whenever you say the verdict or a new piece of evidence
if i had to guess, this wasn’t the first ban on the new account and is a repeat offense which leaded to the 2 week ban
Well nice lie. When my account got banned I went to BHVR, got a mail telling me to go to EAC. Went to EAC and got an answer. of why I was banned

injecting is only okay if you had already paid for, or earned the items, then for some reason you lost access to them, such as a ban or some other way.
If you paid for it, you own it, regardless and have a right to that property.
Meh, I think it's okay all the time.
@@godlyvex5543 i won't argue with that
lol back in 2017 my account got wiped cuz poop bhvr database and they compensated my 250 hrs at the time with 10 million bp it was way not worth it
@@seb1ak loads of ppl lost their legacy skins during that save game error thingy, including Noob3 and Zubat, but BHVR didnt give them their stuff back, so they both out of frustration tried save injecting their skins back and then got perma banned. A true "get BHVR'd" moment.
I’m waiting for a BHVR employee to say they were banned before
🎉 another episode! Very cool! I really do enjoy these!
If he lied about one ban, he might have lied about another ban.
BHVR doesnt hand out 48 hour bans anymore, they say they do but it straight up dont
And this is why the United States has Appeals Courts.
The real question is, who cares?
Yo Mama
I do
Fun drama. Dosent have to matter to you.
Apparently the hundreds of people who flooded twitter and the forums with #freecarol based solely on what they said
The realer question is, why are you here if you dont?
We need more of these.
Maybe carol did a lot of body blocking in x amount of time and they saw the multiple reports of it and just said “give her two weeks” or something like that. But the lying about never being banned was crazy since she had basically witches hunter bhvr on twitter for it.
They need to add a endmatch call vote
They also have a problem with killers being afk with script and slow down gen perks it was like 5 games in a row yesterday i uninstall that shit because of it
tnx for the update. but yes there should be an intro and you need the Jund hammer
BHVR has stated before you're allowed to make new accounts after permabans up to 3 times.
For someone who does that kinda shit on purpose and save injects, I would expect them to have been in trouble with that before, and Carol could be (not saying he is) keeping quiet about that to maintain that grey area of the two week ban up in the air for twitter to fight over
I was confused when you said you wanted to see your kids. THen I remembered you have cats.
Guilty people never know when to take the L and just lay low.
He'll have had another offense at some point most likely to warrant the 2 week ban, most likely.
It was too obvious it wasn't his first offense, but that he's been perma banned in the past is just...not what I expected. Yikes.
He deserves it. Hes been dealt a perma ban before and still ignorant enough to poke the bear.

Judge Jund. DUN DUN.
I think you should buy a gavel Scott, it could be a tax write off.
I would not be surprised if Carol is lying about other bans they have had. It is just that they didn't feel the need to challenge prior ones.
"Why was the initial ban 2 weeks?"
Is it really too difficult to imagine that they lied about never getting banned on the account before? I assume the first ban, they did not realize it was someone that already had a perma ban on a past account. Which they only realized when taking a closer look at the situation in response to the uproar they were causing.
maxwell on he jury would help justice TRUE justice
This is the kind of killer who goes on to call you entitled after the game lmao
"i save injected"...."i have never actually cheated in this game"
cmon bro
People generally don't view save injecting as cheating because you can get the items in game.
I could understand that position if they save injected say 10 common toolboxes, medkits, and flashlights to one character. But, how can you justify injecting 60 of each add on to all characters even ones you haven't spent BP on? Like there is an order of scale here we need to account for.
@@darththeo Meh, I don't care. It's a tedious grind that adds nothing to the game, and it has no impact on any individual game. Every possible loadout was already possible to see in any random match.
@@godlyvex5543 Well, what you just said is wrong when it comes to the early game. Why should new players get fucked over because it doesn't matter at high play?
@@darththeo That only matters if you're a super new player. What evidence do we have that carol save injected right at the start?
@@godlyvex5543 Carol admitted in the tweet in the video that they save injected when they switched platforms. There's your proof.
Theory: The first ban was triggered automatically and the reason why it wasn't permanent from the get-go is because of cross progression breaking something that has to do with checks in those regards
I think they gave carol a chance even tho he was permabanned but since they saw him lying online they changed it
Behavior might have been showing a little compassion with the lighter ban. Then they saw the complaint and lies so they said fudge it, you lie, perma ban.
this is hilarious. i love seeing people reap what they sow
Knew there was more to this. No party in this (survivors, killer and BHVR) is particularly forthcoming with information. BHVR in this case understandably but yeahhh…
Could he have been banned on this account prior, making this say 3rd offense or so, making it a 2 week ban, and only after they started digging, they could have realized perma ban was due. I wouldn't be surprised if Carol was masking his IP or something to dodge his strikes from the cheated account.
does linking two DBD accounts from your own accounts together classified as a save ejected account?
As soon as I learned they save injected, the perma was deserved.
How would BHVR find out about a save injected account tho?
I got permabanned yesterday for literally zero reason
Ain't no way they better not have doubled down
"I have never actually cheated in this game" he says as he admitted to cheating two sentences before LOL and the fact that they think a perma ban isn't supposed to transfer if you switch platforms is wild
