you got lucky. fb marketplace is tough. i just sold a ryzen 5 7500f with a rx 7600 and 32gb ddr5 for 650. and a r5 5600 and 3060ti for 550. I also bought a r7 7700 with a rx 7600 for 450. I have done alright, but its not easy. FB marketplace is a buyers market. I've had a few losses because i thought that if i made a nice looking fancy pc someone would buy it, but turns out people just want a cheap pc on fb.

Right now, (Constantly changing) I cannot keep budget builds in stock. I have been having to buy individual parts and build the computer which is fine because I do that anyway. I have been able to snag some really cheap budget builds and it seems that no matter how low end the gaming computer is, if it plays games at 1080p and looks clean, it will sell for at minimum 350. I have had almost no luch with selling absolutely anything over $900. I did just stock up on psus and other needed parts to pump out about 10-15 for the holiday season and I am hoping I sell through at least 75%. The market has been dry at times and seems extremely hit or miss. I can go 3 weeks without a single message on a computer and then all of a sudden, I have 10. Thanks for reading my comment. Market has been bad since basically beginning of October. People have other things to buy during autumn. You’ll have people wanting to buy systems near Thanksgiving, and especially Christmas, I feel like you could’ve waited for a little extra while longer. I listed a system mid October and it finally sold just yesterday. But it is what it is.

i mean in a few months the 2070 will be a what 4 generation old gpu the case is a hard sell on top of that the open case isnt the most sought after case yall should look for low price systems u can upgrade a little bit then flip like this system throw it in a more normal case maybe throw a 3060/4060 in it flip it for x amount you may have a easier time that way
What’s been weird for me is 5700xt has been selling crazy good for me. Hitting $250 profit over and over. People really want to haggle when I want to use a 2060 super. But I’m assuming it’s just whoever is interested in buying a pc at the time.
You guys need to invest money into it and charge a little more. Changing out the fans and maybe a better PSU and bump the price up. You can always come down in price when negotiating.

I'm doing flips buying GPUs from AliExpress and Amazon and selling them in the fb marketplace, for some reason in mi country the GPUs are 100 to 200 dollars more than what it cost to buy them from online stores so selling them at just below local price is being a good idea so far

I very briefly tried doing some PC builds for marketplace a couple of years ago with the same result. Just a horde of "flippers" trying to score parts for bottom dollar, or what I ended up calling the "Facebook Offer", which was "500 cash today" regardless of list price. Absolute waste of time.
I had builds with brand new parts, which I MIGHT make $100 off of. I enjoy building and have sold a few for cost just to get rid of them but people offer me $200 for a system of new parts. The GPU alone cost me that much.
I recently sold a 2200g and 1070 pc for $300 bucks just from old parts I had laying around, So not sure if I made or lost anything on it honestly cause I just wanted to offload some parts and would rather make someone happy with their first pc.
Based on my area, you got a good maybe great consumer price for that build but not a flipper price. It was too out there in terms of design. Should have left room in the budget to recase it, sold the case. Fans were ugly too. If you got the build for $100 less than what you paid, I think it would have had flipping potential. That case though, not worth it at all. Plus, a newer Ryzen 5000 series would have helped. At that price, you really should have known what the peripherals where, at the very least gotten a photo. I've had mid flips go to excellent because of an easy monitor sale or keyboard. I see a lot of 3000 series pcs sit for a long time. I certainly don't understand that reasoning. They are perfectly fine for gaming and leave room for upgrades to the 5000x3d series when those come down in price.
Unfortunately, where I am unless the PC is current gen components, you're not getting more than 600 for a used gaming PC on a good day, unless it was say a Ryzen 9 5xxx or i9-10th gen or newer or say a 3080 at least inside. It seems like people are either looking to spend around $500 to get something that is flashy and will play most any game at medium settings, or they're a somewhat budget enthusiast and are looking for something reasonably priced (700-1000) that has high end components that are a gen or 2 old.
I'm also in the Cincy area and honestly the fact that we have Microcenter in town makes it pretty difficult around here IMO. These days I just do builds by referral and charge a build fee on top of parts actual cost. Flips have not been that great for years now for me anyway. Good luck out there!
That's not so extreme tbh. I've been building PCs for $100-$230 range and they actually perform decently. Specs range from i7-2600- to i7-5820k and GTX 970-1060s
Personally I think you would do better if you actually gave the PC you try to flip a bit of an upgrade by buying upgrades smart. If you buy a PC to resell as is, you will always end up with a similar or lower price, unless the original seller sold the PC under value.
Buying and selling full rigs is nearly impossible unless you can get the whole thing for 200 or less.. only way I make money is buying individual parts and buying new cases.
Regardless of platform, be it FB marketplace, local forums, our version of craigslist/ gumtree, pricing on the used market in Ireland is ridiculous to the point that you are just better off holding back and saving your money for new gear. The irony is all the people who are asking insane prices and not budging are the same people who will low ball you to all hell also. Absolute trashy market all round unfortunately.
i think you could have done something different with this PC. it still looked awful to me in my opinion. change the water cooler for something more modern and cool . maybe change cables to rgb. Look ebay find things. i just was to impressed with that build

I think I build very nice systems and even offered a 1 year warranty and unlimited tech support with my number. Usually, am4 b550/b450 wifi mobo, msi mag 550/650w psu. I pick popular cases cooler master, montech, lian li, fractal, bitfenix, phanteks, cougar, and asiahorse cable extensions. Reputable 1tb nvme ssds. I get the CPUs and GPU'S on jawa, ebay, or aliexpress or locally. I thought a 3600 and 2070 super would sell for $650 all day, but unfortunately, it didn't. I thought i took nice photos. I put a lot of effort into everything. Maybe it's my area, maybe it's me or the market, maybe i should sell online. But I failed miserably tbis year, and after my last one, I'm giving up flipping permanently and will only do commissions now I do quite well making over 500 on just 3 but those are far and few between so as a hobby yes to replace my job haha my mortgage alone is 650 a month. I don't have what it takes, although I love it so much.

It's a 200 FPS Fortnite PC and it's been sitting for over a month. I think people just don't have the disposable income for PCs like they used to.
That's true. Times are tough for everyone. I sold my 1080ti with a 6700k 32gb ram 1.5 ssd for $500 back in March of this year. Things are just getting worse now

Sold price seems pretty fair? 150-200 mobo/ram/cpu, 50 psu, 150 gpu, 25 for cable extension, 50 aio, no other fans. 475+keyboard/mouse/monitor, cheap.. under 500gb ssd and a hdd don't add much maybe 30?

I think part of what hurt is that most monitors are dirt cheap now, so it's not seen as much added value any more.

Yeah just looked it up, comes with glass, pretty sure I didn't see the glass on it ever. Tbf though I thought it was the p6 which has more glass.
