Relic Satori is quite a nice long term friend to reroll for as she’s a solid destruction character with even spread of Water and Fire Breaks. Good killers and support too. If you’re looking for festival friends to reroll for with paper rolls, A6 (or Scarlet) Marisa and Sunny Milk are great friends to go for. Marisa is nice all around and Sunny Milk has tons of Blind breaks and Stun access that can help on the harder stages.
id recommend A6 marisa for fast progress, just very good early on Relic satori is good but will take a while to get the relic dolls to max her. She can be quite decent at lv70 tho
As of now, I think Retro Miko is worth rerolling. While ultra festival friends take more time to get going, Gatekeeper Meiling and Lunar War Shaman are also good targets to reroll for long term.

Bunch of star + moon breaks, decent killers all around, and a good defensive support niche for yin based friends. Our latest Summer Epic, Kogasa, is a bit weird. She has decent metal and water coverage, but her skill cooldowns are a little awkward and her damage is a bit mixed. She’s a solid long term investment if you’re up for it. There’s also ongoing past Summer Epic Friend rotations too. Currently as of posting, Reimu and Marisa are available and both are very excellent in their own ways. If you’re looking for whoever is also good in the later rotations, then the best one to aim for by a long shot is Summer Yukari.
Currently, I’d say either IN Reisen or Eirin are good festival friends to start off. Both have niches farming good story cards and are decently strong. A6 Meiling has weird breaks, but has amazing accuracy support in her skills and when she boosts. She’s also solid. For long term, getting White Koishi or Tiny Satori (or both if your luck is good) are fantastic. White Koishi has great killers, anomaly breaks, and high damage. Tiny Satori has lock cleansing utility and she’s also pretty strong.
After maintenance, PCB Sakuya A and B are available to pull for and both are solid. Sakuya A is a speed friend with plenty of agility buffs and being self sufficient in spirit power. Sakuya B is more all around and provides good Yang support. Both have freeze and paralysis utility breaks and have solid damage output. Both are fine to start, but Sakuya B has more of an edge of A. There’s also Relic Sakuya (from Moon and Izayoi music video) having her rerun. She’s a very strong debuffer with moon and Star breaks, a guaranteed Stun at 2 boost on her solo card, and a very powerful last word especially combined with the Moon and Izayoi card (with the Divergent Spirits stage available to play to get the card max limit broken). She’s also expensive to limit break, but the devs have been giving out more relic paper disks through events lately.

Retro Reisen is a good speed friend that can do some cool anomaly break combos. Hecatia is a very strong Yin attacker that can farm a few stages and help through Fire EX. Finally, Sagume is a decent debuffer for Yang Attackers to take advantage of, but she’ll need some set up of her own. Still nice to have late game when enemies are tanky. Small side note: there’s a free tenfold prayer with a extremely low chance of a ultra festival friend. If you are super patient enough reroll on that, then I’d recommend going for E1 Koakuma (Butler), B3 Toyohime (Otohime), and/or E1 Flandre (Vampire Hunting the Hunter).

As of now, there is an ultra festival collection going on with really good characters like Hunter Flandre and Sakuya, Tiny Junko, Tiny Remilia, and Alterisa. All solid and useful characters to invest in long term, especially for Flandre, Junko, and Tiny Remilia. Sakuya and Alterisa still have their moments even if other powerful characters outshine them later on. Since Global is starting to allow sparking for Epic characters, you can probably save up and then end up sparking one copy of the epic character. It’s still going to be an extremely expensive investment, but it’s definitely a nice payoff since the developers have been handing out more epic dolls than usual. That being said, Summer Reimu is a solid speed friend with extremely low cooldown for her skills with her third skill being at 1 cooldown at max level. Plenty of wood and water breaks on top of some good immunities. If you don’t want Reimu, there is a nice story card with high Yang stats, light bullet up, and 2 spirit power up at max limit break to get. However, do keep in mind that we have a rotating retro character collection coming soon (as of posting) with many top characters like Scarlet Marisa, PCB Alice, and Scarlet Sakuya. There’s also Relic/Music Video Sakuya who is an extremely powerful moon and star breaker coming soon.

Tiny Satori is a solid healer with lock removal, blind breaks, good skills, and burn immunity. Good ultra festival unit to start off. Epic Koishi is quite the insane breaker even at low limit break levels. She’s going to be hard to obtain even with the free rituals, but it’s a very good long term investment to work on.

I actually had gotten Azusa Sagume on my Alt account before this video, but I still agree with your point of Epic/Ultra Festival characters taking a while before they are max limit broken. I was able to MLB her yesterday only because I saved up Divine Paper Dolls over a few months and got my last one in the Tower. Not much else to say about the rest of the video, but I have a quick question regarding the Token shop. Cubes are worth purchasing long term, but are Paper Dolls worth it most of the time? I’ve had many instances of seeing one and being sad to not add another limit break to a current friend because I don’t have enough tokens. Good job on refining this video.
if youre experienced, its probably be better to start with a Ufes, as a ufes is kinda worth 1250 cubes compared to a fes worth 750 cubes, so its better long term. And you will be able to improvise with some gens to get through the early game thanks for all the positive feedback!
oh right, paper doll for token is only really worth if you have tons of token, either because you never awaken, or if you farm for tokens (for example, blumu 5p lyukari in 1t, otohime 5p B3 hifuu in 1t, many characters can 5p 2t B3 hifuu, to farm for story cards to sell) Also, if you can 8p the final event stage, thats quite a nice place to token farm as well as you get event points as well. (make sure you do it during the event story card rate up
I like the idea of this series, tho admittedly the first days of LW are very boring to play/watch, however i can't wait to see how you'll approach more avdanced content like story card farming and CQs

However, I think Patchouli (Mage), Koakuma (Butler), Toyohime (Otohime), and Yorihime (Kannagi) are the better choices to pull for if you want to commit. There’s also the Kaiju Ultra Festival friends. Between Doremy and Keine, Keine is the better friend in my opinion because of being a okay Yin support friend.

However, Relic/Silver Gale Mokou sort of comes out a little ahead of them because she can farm a few of the harder story stages. She also has some lock removal in her skills. Mokou will be released a week after Rin and Utsuho. You can’t really go wrong with any of them (since they all take a while to fully max limit break), but I’d personally recommend Mokou to reroll for.
Right now, if you’re up for a pricey investment, Blonde Sanae is a good pickup for a support friend. On a similar note, Relic Alice is a good Friend who does decent damage and is a good Star Breaker for Star EX. Train Aligner Kutaka is a good tech ultra friend with tons of utility, but keep in mind that Azusa Sagume and Nayotoke Kaguya are going to have a rerun soon. Sagume arguably has more utility than Kutaka, but it’s up to your preference. On a unrelated note on 1:56, there’s now a skip button on the top right on the login bonuses that’ll skip the animations.

Dunno if you’re still trying to reroll, but you can just delete your account from the menu instead of redownloading. You won’t have to download a bunch of data lol, I did the same thing and was getting super annoyed until I realized you could just do that instead of uninstalling and reinstalling
