It's such a bummer that you can't play alongside some AI controlled partners. I'm old, I don't have a ton of friends who are gamers, and I have a hard enough time just carving out a few minutes for myself to play. Rather than having to connect with a bunch of randoms online, it would be so great if I could just add some CPU teammates and still feel like I'm playing the game the way it's intended.
Or they could scale the enemies not to be so relentless if you're by yourself. I'm in the same boat. In my 40s, not many of my friends co-workers even own a switch and we are all busy as hell. Multiplayer is impossible
@@mattyork7625 There are so many games where you play with a CPU companion, the capability is there. Give me all four Turtles in single player mode, or give me death! 😂
I agree with you. I don't have anyone to play with and I don't like playing with random online people that I don't know. For some reason devs think all of us like playing with random unknown people. Just add single player options and allow us to play against the cpu. They lose thousands making games mulitplayer only with need to play against random people. I don't like playing with random people I don't know either. Put in single player options so that everybody can play. This is how I feel about it.
It looks too much like hades - damage area previews, rogue like, enemy attack patterns, reliance on dodge mechanics… Ultimate Alliance games were nothing like that
Honestly, i wish it were more like Ultimate Alliance aka a Diablo clone. It may look that way visually but like others have said it is not gameplay wise
It's a lot of fun, I played it on my mac on Apple Arcade. It's kind of tough playing solo though. But the character design, writing, and voice work are fantastic.
It's an okay game. I would recommend keeping an eye out for a sale, being a port it's a bit much to ask for. Its the kind of game were youre supposed to suck at first and die on the first boss, use the stuff you got for upgrades and then go for another try. It's fun at first but soon when you beaten half the game and die and end up having to redo EVERYTHING from scratch it gets a bit tedious, but you get to keep your upgrades though. Except some you only get randomly through your run.
@@zilvertron I mean $30 bucks isn’t hurting my pockets. I get the review, but my point is I only need the game to be fun. I don’t need it beaten into my head that Hades is better.

This game is so awesome - definitely better than I expected and one of the best TMNT games ever, honestly. Not a great review, you normally do better.’
If this is easier than Hades I'm okay with that. This looks like a fun intro game for friends of mine who are interested in roguelikes but haven't actually taken the plunge where we can actually play together and win. Neither of us are looking for some crazy challenge with this, just looking for simple fun. I recently beat Hades on 32 heat (FINALLY) and I'm ready for something similar but more light-hearted as far as difficulty.
@@superstatus2640 Hard to say. Hades took me 25 attempts for my first escape, this one took me 17 (but I'm also pretty decent at this game after playing Hades, which makes sense). Pact of Punishment in Hades is a lot more balanced than TMNT. In TMNT, adding difficulty modifiers sorta exponentially stacks (not to mention you're adding them incrementally throughout each run, unlike Hades where you add the modifiers in the beginning of each run) and I'd end up dying a lot earlier than I expected. Still, TMNT was a REALLY fun game. It's wayyy more fun if you have somebody to play with, especially someone who knows Hades.
Game kicks ass, bright, fun, quick paced. i actually appreciate the fact its not as complex or deep as Hades; leave that to Hades! You get to bonk around some goobers with the turtles, who all feel different enough to want to try them all, and create some simple little synergies with a tight but shallow buildcraft system. Perfect for kids who might be just a bit too young for Hades.
Can anyone help with information? For the TMNT Splintered Fate, can anyone please let us know exactly where it states that physical video games are being made and when this video game will be out. Are physicals ever going to be made and if so, when? Thanks.
I've never played Hades, and probably won't. My brother wanted me to get this game on the Switch and we have been playing it together online and it's a blast. It's a beat em up for sure but with upgrades. You do need to grind, which is kind of par for the course in a "Roguelike" game. As you get more upgrades with the coins, it seems the game ramps up the difficulty. I like it a lot, it's one of the better turtles games. It's very different from Turtles in Time but it's still a TMNT game faithfully done with elements from the older games. I haven't really noticed performance issues that affect gameplay. I usually plug it into the dock and play it on the big TV with a Pro Controller.
You compared this game to a game called Hades. I never played Hades so i didn’t really get enough information about the game. The game looks fun but idk anything about hades
Hades is pretty much the best rogue like on the market. You have to escape the Underworld as Hades son and you unlock a lot of powers and weapons as you progress, get stronger and use currency to unlock things. You basically have to keep replaying the same map which gets randomised until you can reach the final boss and beat him
To be honest, I was disappointed. This is not a garbage game, but it definitely feels like a good quality cell-phone game that they put on consoles and charged $30. Imo, it's worth $15. I will list my thoughts on it. Pro- Each of the turtle's distinctive personalities are reflected very well in the voice acting. In all honesty, all the voice acting is superb, even with characters with only a few lines of dialogue. The personalities match the quality of the voice acting and feel accurate. There are also character cameos galore and I really liked that. Aaaand unfortunately that's where the pros end. Mid- The story is only serviceable. It actually kinda feels rushed and some of the story will feel cliche. Moving on from that......The level designs felt boring with a new splash of paint with nothing really interesting about them. I remember the turtle games from the 1990's and the level designs were MUCH better, even more interactive. This is one reason why the game feels like it belongs on a cell-phone. Cons- The gameplay. Oh, you WILL likely get bored and quicker then you might expect. It is essentially a hack-and-slash, but it's not a fun hack-and-slash. Abilities will always be a means to an end, but nothing feels exciting about them. Increasing the strength and adding moves to the turtles feels just part of the process of the long chore that is supposed to be the most fun. My rating - 6.5 out of 10. Rent it...........or buy it when it's 50% off.
