Awesome country, fished in early October of 2020,spent 4 days & was amazed how beautiful the country was, caught several nice bows & my first ever white fish, definitely on my bucket list to go back to,tight lines & bent rods 🤟
I hear ya! On the crooked I've gotten into schools of them with tiny midges under a dry fly. Honestly they chase after almost anything it seems, but getting them to bite, and then getting them hooked with their weird little mouths makes it hard for me! Keep trying!
@@MTsubfly i just bought the Paramount EAG Elite 4 waders for $160. They're super durable (6-ply where it matters) and I highly recommend. I fish the Crooked River often and am from Bend.
@@jamesmccreery250 They say they're awesome! I did end up picking up a pair of cabelas zip up waders, and cabelas "hiking" wader boots, I've used em 3-4 times and i'm happy with them! Just not happy i've been so busy I haven't been able to get out and fish!

Great work wetting you hands before handling! Saw that 😎
I've GOT to try out the crooked river!! Awesome video love how you put the bait picture in picture. Subbed!!
Thanks! Take note this time of year the flows can been a lot higher due to the irrigation district. Beautiful place to check out. Thx.
I just hope this river doesn't become too popularized.
I still haven't cracked the code on these mythical mountain white fish, it seems the 5 inch trout just find my fly faster.

You need waders...
Got any recommendations? I've been eyeballing a few, then I gotta find boots too.
You hit the nail on the head though, feet were wet & numb
