New England does very well thanks to Boston and New York. Boston has over 10,000 colleges/universities, top hospitals and high tech, so Massachusetts and surrounding states benefit from Boston and New York being so close. In fact it provides a lot of stability in the economy so any downturns tend to be less severe insulating ti from the woes felt around the rest of the USA
I live in New Hampshire, it's a beautiful state. You experience every season to the fullest. But the one thing that is a downside is since there is no taxes on items you buy. There is property tax, that can be over $5,000 a year. But other than that I'm glad I'm from a small, peaceful, beautiful state.
St. Augustine Florida is in North Florida on the Atlantic Coast. The oldest city in the United States. Water everywhere, Atlantic Ocean and the Intra Coastal Waterway. Huge Oak Trees, not flat. The government is smart. Great restaurants, stores. Well kept roads, vertially no liter. Reasonable prices on homes. Good schools. Great to retire to. No state income tax weather good 9 months of year, hot rest. Lots of pools and oak trees in right locations. I love it.
This list isn't about how Beutiful or Nice said states Are, but about how easy it is to Make a Life for yourself, how strong the Economy is, and how Healthy/Wealthy the citizens are. Minnesota, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine are among the Healthiest, Wealthiest, and Most Employed States in the Country. Poverty There is at an All Time Low, and they're Economies have been Growing at an Exponentially High Rate. Sure the Weather is Bad in the Winter, but if you can actually Make a Life for yourself and your Family, it's one of the Best States to live In. Minnesota ranked 1st in Best State to Raise a Family In, over California, Texas, Florida, New York, and Hawaii
Those states' economies are good, not necessarily due to economic policies (otherwise we would have seen Indiana, Texas, Florida on the list). Those states weren't included because, as you stated, they also looked at poverty levels and those states happen to have a higher poverty level due to the kinds of groups of people who populate much of those states - The kind of people who believe government should take care of them and who grew up generation after generation with a cyclical welfare mentality. It's a different culture in the north. In the south, there's a lot of entitlement mentality imo. I grew up in Appalachia where welfare mentality is everywhere and where a lot of people assume they can't do any better so they never try.
I live in NH. It is a fantastic state to live, but I'm glad Boston is close because there isn't much to do in the small towns. And the winters are brutal.
***** Actually, Florida has one of the worst crime rates, Miami is sinking, Old people fucking everywhere, Florida has one of the most identity thefts in the US, if not the most and btw, Florida is ranked the worst drivers, and has some of the most fatal accidents.
My husband is from Hawaii, and it's very beautiful. However, cost of living is out of control, a lot of people are addicted to ice, traffic is outrageous, and better get used to bed bugs because they are everywhere, even in the best of hotels, so lookout.
All are liberal states. Take your pick liberals! To any liberal Californian looking to move: just stay out of Montana, Alaska, Wyoming, Texas, and Idaho.
I live in minnesota now and I'm getting payed 10.50 an hour working one of the easiest fast food jobs while also going to school with the most bomb education system. Compared to Texas where I was getting paid 7.50, school ended later and was set in semesters instead of trimesters. This state is honestly a God send. Also weed going to be legalized in about 1-2 years hype
How are you going to have some of the gayest states if the United States Like, if you haven’t been to Colorado. And mainly the Rockies and eastern side. You are missing out
The best state that I have ever been too is Oregon. It's really pretty and cool And the lakes are so clean that you can even drink out of them and the people there are so friendly and helpful
I live in Minnesota, it's very nice, although the weather can get a bit extreme. Winters are definetely winters and summers well.. Its hot but every month there is a storm. While storms aren't always that bad, they can get pretty bad...
+Dance Till You Drop sorry the truth hurts. if you desire to live in paradise. move to the Phillipines. it's cheap, everyone is friendly, English is spoken, you don't see drugs, very little crime..except for prostitution , they love Americans, weather is the same as hawaii
wrong. I live in the Philippines major drug problem, corruption, Filipinos are friendly and happy, but they have unhealthy habits like burning rubbish and throwing their garbage everywhere, including in the rivers and lakes.. Yes they love all foreigners because they think we are rich, far from the truth. yes it is dirt cheap to live here if you can handle your neighbors loud ass Karaoke, the smoke from burning garbage, the pollution, the noise and the dangerous reckless drivers.
Having been living in Minnesota from Malawi for 20 years. I can't believe I'm saying this but I have grown to love the four seasons. Great education system, you can always get a job. Lots of opportunities for immigrants, my favorite is walking the lakes...
Bella Costell I was born and raised in Maine. I moved to Michigan for 14 years due to poor work opportunities in Maine. Michigan is pretty horrible these days. My wife and I moved to the Texas gulf coast for her health...she has COPD and the salt air and lack of freezing cold winters is good for her. You can't beat Maine in the summertime though....beautiful weather.
Utah has no natural disasters. Such as earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, fires, major landslides, floodings, or snow storms and other natural disasters. In other words, weather-wise, it's kinda boring, lol. Plus the major cities have very low crime rates. Home prices are very reasonable if you stay away from ski resorts such as Park City. The air is clean, and best of all, Costco, Home Depot and Walmart are practically empty on Sundays. So my advice, shop on that day, lol.
Hawaii has active Volcanoes which actually makes Hawaii a very dangerous place to live in. Now I know volcanic eruptions don’t happen everyday but smoking ones can be bad for your lungs of course. But personally Michigan is one of the safest places in the us weather wise.
Where tf is Washington? It's beautiful, Not too expensive (depending on where you go), good education, and super unique! New Hampshire is nice, but Washington is better! WASHINGTON!
This was published in 2015 - things changed fast. In fact, those bottles of "Maple Syrup" were identified as a label in the US as containing high fructose corn syrup in a "Fake Food" video. And as with all these locations, you're safe if you have money! If you don't - then you're living a very low quality of life.
What about Arizona its cheep to live here with mix weathers and other than phoenix low population. It also is kinda unpopular that even ppl here joke about it never getting bombed. Its unpopular but grate place to live
Thank God I love in Hawai'i and in love it and yes I am 25% native to Hawai'i but we have records that say that my family was one of the first to get to Hawai'i so that's good
I lived in Washington State he NorthWest corner state we dont have dirty building and cities we have the cleanest even we have the biggest ciy named Seatlle its so good on there and we dont have storms and im glad i lived in washington
I'm from Minnesota and It's definitely a perfect place to live and visit, but if you come from somewhere that's warm like Florida, Arizona, California, etc., I recommend staying away from Minnesota thru the months of December to February as we do have harsh winters and its -20°F outside right now. Come in spring, summer and fall its really beautiful around those times.
+Mordecai I was born in Denver CO and was raised in Delaware and Pennsylvania. I moved to Minnesota and will never leave, It truly is one of the best states to live in hands down!
American Boy which part of CA do you live? CA has everything and every region is completely different form one another. Thats why it's the best state. There something called VARIETY.
Your Freak SF doesnt have heat. it's been in the 50's and 60's all summer. Like I said, CA has something called options and variety. We have everything.
I live in Southern California and where I live is an hour drive from LA and a hour and a half from Disneyland the only thing I like from California is Disneyland and Six Flags Magic Mountain which is a half hour drive from my house
@The Meticulous Gentleman that's the only problem with Minnesota, the cities, along with the idiots running our government. If you get out of the cities mn is a great place
Damn. Well, I'm not going to marry you buddy, sorry... but I've got a female friend who just got engaged to someone she met in Argentina and although they seem OK together, I can tell that she is much more attracted to him than he is to her. I really get the bad feeling he is simply doing it to get a stronger foothold in America. He's already started the process of getting his citizenship.
A lot of the best States border Canada, I think it has something to do with cold weather it makes people more humble. I'm Canadian and if I ever moved to the States I would move to Vermont of Minnesota
Pradanator 2k Then why don't you move to a State where people have to work 3 Jobs just to make a Living? 80% of Minnesotans get paid more than $20 per Hour
Since when was bad weather a thing? If you move further south on the east coast you get Hurricanes, and if you move pretty much anywhere west you could get a Tornado. Every place on earth is meant to have some form of weather, that's how the cycle of Earth works. I think you'll be fine.
I'm from Minnesota and I can tell you that we certainly are a hearty group we have temperatures between 100 and -50 degrees Fahrenheit. I love the North Star State!
People love to generalize about Minnesota and think a farm in western Minnesota would be the worst. In reality it is one of the best with sking, wrestling, hunting, snowmobiling, and snowdays.
WYOMING all day!!! 1. Population is less than 700,000 2. The state is pretty big 3. No Income tax 4. Hardcore republican state 5. Beautiful Landscape 6. Housing is pretty cheap. 7. No Pollution
Ok, I've been thru that state with my family on the way to California in June of 2002, and we stopped off at a hotel there for 1 night, but other than watching the geysers I don't know what else there is exciting to do there, and although I'm not happy living here in Illinois, I'm so thankful I don't live in Wyoming.
I liked the scenery of California, but my time there wasn't enjoyable to be honest. It was just mediocre. It would've been fun if I had at least 1 friend with me. I was with my family. That was 16 years ago too as of 2018 so I forgot a lot about my experience there.
4 of these states have 1 important thing in common . very few africans and non white minorities . this means lower crime. better budgets and better overall quality of life. before moving to any state use the cencus to find out how many africans , mexicans, and non whites live there. low minority numbers means better everything. this is why the democratic party wants this question blocked on the next census . if you know where the bad guys live you won't move there and the dems need your income to survive.
I dont agree with hawaii being number one.. dont get me wrong great vacation spot. But its a struggle to live there for the everyday person. I was born and raised in hawaii and i can say its not what most americans think of it.
Isn’t there underlying issues with the government and such? Yeah, Hawaii is overrated in my opinion. Subpar government, awful cost of living, inane traffic, boring weather .
Idk why Hawaii is on here, I live in Honolulu and let me tell you, the traffic is horrible, our chief and his wife just got arrested alongside alot of officers for being corrupt, homeless is definitely a problem, jobs want people to be 25 with 30yrs of experience for a job, houses are EXPENSIVE we have a area call Hawaii kai and to buy there its almost 700k for a 1-2 bedroom, thief is also bad but locals here do help each other to find out who's the criminal... And on top of that I'm pretty sure we're sinking slowly because our high tides become worse by year
I never would have caught that if you didn't say anything. Good eye. I guess they did it becuase Tahiti looks way better than most of Hawaii since Hawaii is littered with dead reefs.
Maila Makua I Lived in New Hampshire , Vermont and went to the beaches in Maine .Those are the best states that i have seen .I live in Arkansas for the low cost of living , I would like to return to New England . You have to like cold weather ,
Florida Doesn't have many things to offer besides tourism. Average Healthcare, Average Education, an overall Off-Balance system, etc. I've visited Florida, and outside cities such as Tampa, Miami, and Orlando, the place is a dump. I would know, I live in Minnesota, which has very good balance. And look where that got us?! Minneapolis St Paul has an Umemployment rate of only 5%, and we're coming out of the recession faster than any other metro. 96% of Adults have a High School Diploma, #1 in the US in rankings, 49% have a Batchelor's or Associates Degree in College, vs a 36% US Average. Florida would be a great place to grow up in if you had the right life, but Minnesota, New Hampshire, Vermont, etc. are great to grow up in no matter what
Rolf Hohmann YEAH RIGHT!!! Do you know how many crimes take place each year??? And there's also the fact that it's one of the worst states in education, at least Minnesota is #13
Zyworski LMAO I lived in Oklahoma for 8 years. Sucks ass. Horrible crime rates p much everywhere. Don’t ever think of moving there 💀 especially sand springs, OKC or tulsa
I lived in Hawaii for 3 years. I would agree it's the best state to visit. But living there is a different story. There's plenty to do sure, if you like going to the beach, going to the beach, or going to the beach.
I've lived in Hawai'i. There's a HUGE amount of prejudice there against those who aren't at least part Hawaiian, which makes it a less than desirable place to live. Not to mention the drug problem which makes crime rampant.
I live in Missouri and while talking to my mom who is in The Capital of Nebraska, she said the whole time she was in there she heard 1 cop car, 2 ambulances, and one firetruck, while in my home town of Kirksville Missouri, you hear them everyday
Why is an English man telling us what US states are the greatest
So it's unbiased
This is kinda true lol😂😂😂
Zane Hamilton agree
Outsider opinion.
He is kind of immigrants Trump likes 😂😂😂😂 whites only
5. Maine
4. New Hampshire
3. Minnesota
2. Vermont
1. Hawaii
You're welcome :)
thank you! also i wouldn't exactly agree with this list tbh

These lists are all subjective to an extent but you can't denie that the north eastern states usually do well in the ranking.
thx
1. Texas 2. Florida 3. Arkansas 4. Mississippi
i love how 3 out of the 5 are up North. lol sounds like the North has it goin on man.
4 out of the 5 actually
+Hutch oh ok. lol
Minnesota does not count. Minnesota's location is called the Midwest, not the North.

Cassie Hunt New Hampshire is very nice! Been there many times, and I’m from NJ.
How is no taxes on items you buy a bad thing? Fuck taxes.
"SINCE" or "because there is no sales tax, property tax is high". The punctuation was off. Replace the period with a comma and it makes sense.
The state with the highest cost of living is the best place to live in the U.S.? Yeah right.
Alaska pays you to live there so its not that bad.
woops
Sorry wrong video somehow:I
40 below 0 in ALASKA and high cost of living , whats so good about it .

Cleaning Gal same as New York
Pranay Sharma no NY sucks
As a Minnesotan, I disagree with immigrants. I’m hoping MN will be a future conservative state.
Hey. This was good but why not do a video about the 10 best states to live in? You would just need five more.
I live in Maine yaaaaay! Reply if you live in Maine too!
I do.
Bella Costello I live in NH neighbor
I live In Maine too
I’m from Minnesota and I always wanted to visit Maine.
Bella Costell I was born and raised in Maine. I moved to Michigan for 14 years due to poor work opportunities in Maine. Michigan is pretty horrible these days. I love the communist republic of California! Bag taxes! Gas taxes! Bottle taxes! So many taxes! Yay!
I remember visiting Minnesota every summer and winter break, it became my second home.
This cracked me up! "If you love winter and want it 8 months out of the year just move to these 4 states but if you hate winter than movie to hawaii!"
WASHINGTON!
My dad was born in Hawaii and he said it's not as good as you think. Hawaii is only a good place for vacations.
My list 1. Oregon 2. Washington 3. Hawaii 4. Minnesota 5. New Hampshire
Finally Minnesota is on a list for something positive. Glad to be from MN.
believe me, Hawaii is not a good place to live in.
kinda surprised NE wasn't up here, it's the second best state to have a family in and it's known to have some of the nicest people around.
New England representing, LETS GO!
This was published in 2015 - things changed fast. In fact, those bottles of "Maple Syrup" were identified as a label in the US as containing high fructose corn syrup in a "Fake Food" video. And as with all these locations, you're safe if you have money! If you don't - then you're living a very low quality of life.
The pine tree state for life 👌
Surprised to not see Iowa on this list
Well everything is big in Texas
Clorox Bleach actually, Alaska is the biggest state
Please note that Vermont as the second highest in-breeding.
Fun fact: Minnesota invented Water skiing
Northern New England :
Lowest crime
Lowest taxes
Lowest corruption
Least gun laws
Least attractive place for criminals.
...........Quietly good.
Two feet of snow in Winter.
100 deg. F. in the dog days , also normal .
Lowest unemployment .
I have never heard of anti-discrimination laws as a vital measure to ranking states
I'd like to see the 5 best coastal towns please.
What about Arizona its cheep to live here with mix weathers and other than phoenix low population. It also is kinda unpopular that even ppl here joke about it never getting bombed. Its unpopular but grate place to live

Hawaii? Hell never!!! So damn expensive prices are far worse than CA and CA's prices are a bitch!
The schools in Hawaii are not good either and believe it or not, Honolulu has a lot of crime
And it has one of the worst traffic in Honolulu
i think he noted how expensive it is and u need money to live Hawaii.
the higher the prices are.. the higher the income is ☺
Luca Ta - yes, if you are fortunate enough to be in the high income job category.

I'll marry you Isabelle. I'm sick of American women.
We Minnesotans are nice because we are next to Canada
Fruitdroid MEME! They're like our older brother
A lot of the best States border Canada, I think it has something to do with cold weather it makes people more humble.
I'm Canadian and if I ever moved to the States I would move to Vermont of Minnesota
I'm from Canada and I'm always considering Minnesota

Eh
Hawaii is also the most expensive state to live in. 100k a year is below the poverty line pretty much.
Four of these get bad wether and one is super expensive. How about most enjoying places to live.
Coaster Surge actually i live in Minnesota and the weather here is fucking awesome
more like -16
Pradanator 2k Then why don't you move to a State where people have to work 3 Jobs just to make a Living? 80% of Minnesotans get paid more than $20 per Hour
Pradanator 2k Most of the time, we can pull away with $200 Per Day if you work more than 10 Hours
1. Population is less than 700,000
2. The state is pretty big
3. No Income tax
4. Hardcore republican state
5. Beautiful Landscape
6. Housing is pretty cheap.
7. No Pollution
But what's the most exciting things to do out there? Seems mostly safe, but also mostly boring
@@@bracebrooks967 plenty of land and you ride your horse all day.
I heard it could be a dangerous state sometimes
Ok, I've been thru that state with my family on the way to California in June of 2002, and we stopped off at a hotel there for 1 night, but other than watching the geysers I don't know what else there is exciting to do there, and although I'm not happy living here in Illinois, I'm so thankful I don't live in Wyoming.
I liked the scenery of California, but my time there wasn't enjoyable to be honest. It was just mediocre. It would've been fun if I had at least 1 friend with me. I was with my family. That was 16 years ago too as of 2018 so I forgot a lot about my experience there.
REPUBLICAN makes me want to move to THIS STATE NOW.

No way not in the winter
Patrick K great
@@migueltigrelazo I understand that, it's -58 with windchill today
LETS GOO VERMONT! We never get any recognition for anything so im so happy rn
I agree. I live in New Hampshire and we live in Vermont for a week every other summer. It deserves number 1.
But they are so full of hippies in Vermont! I heard you can run around naked in Vermont.
Patty Sherwood I agree 200 percent
Brian. Their cheeks will be cold in winter.
haha we are full of hippies. Guess its just part of the fun lol
Minnesota is beast
Yess
Florida is your dad

Nah Maine is, get it right
Hey what would you way about your uni's..? Are they good? Please let me know if you can
I dont agree with hawaii being number one.. dont get me wrong great vacation spot.
Yasss maine
Hail Minnesota
Brandon Halsey all hail the land of ten thousand lakes!
Airhead Approaches Michigan has more lakes then MN, and so does Alaska, BUT WHO CARES IM MINNESOTAN AND I LIVE ON A LAKE
This list is so ignorant of the variety of statistics in each state which define living conditions...
Me how is that
where was texas
Ikr
Texas sucks..😒
CoolGamer Guy Well it's you're opinion so I won't argue
Joseph Rodriguez yes it is but I was kinda kidding about Texas suckin I live in Cali so how would OK😂😂😂😄😄😄
Texas FTW
Minnesota people are nice some but there is a gossip on ever block
Just move to one of the smaller towns and all the gossip disappears
Minnesota Nice...maybe! Just kidding, we are nice here!
A More I feel like that's Subjective, but only people that have lived here can understand how nice the Snow really is
can i marry ur sister
Hawaii is expensive as f doe.
And on top of that I'm pretty sure we're sinking slowly because our high tides become worse by year
I feel bad but at least u live in a nice place
Still better than California
+B 777 shut up, Hawaii is a shithole, California is one of the happiest state in America bro, keep ur shit together plz.
Lucas Glendon How about still better than florida :)
Wtf?! Why are the showing Tahiti at 3:51 ?
I never would have caught that if you didn't say anything. Good eye. I guess they did it becuase Tahiti looks way better than most of Hawaii since Hawaii is littered with dead reefs.
I THINK IT IS BORA BORA
+Luis V Yup! That clip just made me look at the entire video as a mess. False info and made up fiction
Maila Makua
I Lived in New Hampshire , Vermont and went to the beaches in Maine .Those are the best states that i have seen .I live in Arkansas for the low cost of living , I would like to return to New England . You have to like cold weather ,
+Luis V I really want to live in New England for a bit. You're lucky you got to live in those states. Arkansas.. Hmmmm? Must check it out
Florida?????
nope to much bullshit
eeewwwww lol
What about New York?
Florida has a low standard of living... the panhandle is like west Virginia
Florida would be a great place to grow up in if you had the right life, but Minnesota, New Hampshire, Vermont, etc. are great to grow up in no matter what
I love living in minnesota
Same omg
It's so pretty here
The only downfall is the Vikings.. sometimes haha
Texas is much better. Ar is the best i think
Rolf Hohmann YEAH RIGHT!!! Do you know how many crimes take place each year??? And there's also the fact that it's one of the worst states in education, at least Minnesota is #13
I believe you, I've visited Minnesota twice, but don't want to live there, Reason #1 way too cold in the winter Reason #2 I don't know anyone there
Before this video began my guesses were going to Texas,Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, and W Virginia, so 3 out of 5 isn't bad.
Zyworski LMAO I lived in Oklahoma for 8 years. Sucks ass. Horrible crime rates p much everywhere. Don’t ever think of moving there 💀 especially sand springs, OKC or tulsa
yeahhhhhhh baby Minnesota for life
Where is New York?
Joseph Stalin I'm dying
Joseph Stalin if New Jersey didn't make it New York damn sure better not had lol.
When people say New York everyone thinks it's all just like NYC. That is the problem though thats why no one picks it
Yes, New York is a beautiful place to live in.
Actually, New York is far better than New Jersey, NEWARK is the capital of NJ, u kidding me? NEWARK???????????/
I lived in Hawaii for 3 years. I would agree it's the best state to visit. But living there is a different story. There's plenty to do sure, if you like going to the beach, going to the beach, or going to the beach.
I love Minnesota it's such a beautiful state.
I agree, I'm not from Minnesota, but unfortunately it just gets way too cold in the winter for me to want to relocate there.
Hawaii is super overrated.
Wisconsin 😭
agreed!
I have mixed feelings about Wisconsin! I've heard of both good and bad things about it!
+Danny Danley there is nothing in it!
+Danny Danley i also have to drive like 4 hours (m in mn) into wiscosin to get some where! but its relaxing :)
Theres more cows than people there
I've lived in Hawai'i.
Hawaii shouldn't count..lol..
