Also what ply should I use, having a hard time with the yarns rather start with a yarn easy to move across the machine for beginners.

Me too, got mine last week 2/23/23!
I've watched so many videos using everything BUT the lk150 or starting in the middle. I love that this video starts right at cast on and explains slowly for us beginners.

I have a Signer LK100 machine. Why don't my stitches "tuck"? after positioning back to position B from D the stiches fall of the needle because the latch is closed.
