Yeah, on our motorcycle channel, it was the same. Subscriptions were easy, but watch time is a different story. We discovered that family and friends don't matter much because they aren't into motorcycles. They only subscribed because we asked them to. Our training videos perform very well, but our travel and camping videos (which we love the most) are slow. Once you see what garners the most views and watch time, focus on that. People want answers to questions they haven't yet asked within your niche. In our case, it's motorcycle training, NOT travel or camping. If you can teach within your niche without compromising your business growth, then that may be the direction you can take.
Thats exactly why I decided not to promote on my personal socials. Yes, I'm starting to see a trend with my making videos and tutorials. I will most likely shift more focus towards that. However, I will continue to be my genuine self and do what brings me joy. It's a journey that you have to commit to.
