I get it, Tom primarily wraps about social issues, the things going on in the world, especially here in America with politics. But it’s something that needs to be said and repeated because some people either don’t get it or this is the first time someone’s listening to this type of music and Tom MacDonald. Keep in mind that Tom has new eyes on his music after his last release with Ben Shapiro. I think it a brilliant strategic move to release this track immediately following that song. First, Tom has always said he doesn't conform, doesn't like labels so he drives that home with this track. Second, what he is saying needs to be heard...especially for all that may be tuning in for the first time since the FACTS track. I'm sure Tom will release something fire in the near future but this was a fantastic release strategically with the potential of so many new people checking him out. It's only out of our control because the majority of people would rather distract themselves from painful truths then take simple actions. Imagine if even in a country as big as America, if even just 30% of the people all did something as simple as refuse to go to work for one week until an issue they cared about was addressed, the waves that would create would force action and attention on a level we have never seen. Just look at the impact a few thousand people in a single industry have had (truckers, farmers etc.) in places like New York, and across Europe. I don't mean to call you guys out, but it's that attitude towards politics that allows this stuff to continue unchecked. This doesn't mean anyone has to be hyper political or start watching "the news" but when something that's not good (wars, cancel culture, corruption, political persecution etc.) Start happening if you don't want to see those things continue or get worse then it's incumbent on you to take action and make that known. That can be as simple as speaking about it to those around you, to as drastic as participating in the political process yourself or any where in between depending on how bad you see the current track as being. But when enough people just go "I don't do political stuff" that's exactly the attitude that gives them permission to keep doing all the crap.
