I’ve been a doors fan since 1990. I have a tat that had doors and under it,people are strange,because my daughter,at 3,years ago use to sing it with me. Now she has doors shirts,keychains,stickers. Robby,live on brother. If not,the soft parade is waiting for you.

Mexico love the doors and the doors love Mexico bro I remember reading about the trip there to play at that dinner club theater and like 1969 or 70 there used to be a big bureau of Jim somewhere I think on the sidewall of the club or somewhere else in Mexico don't think it's still there though I don't know but after 55 years I guess it's hard for some things to stay the same even though they say the more things change the more they stay the same

No their first single was break on through but this was the first big hit single number one for 3 weeks in July 1967 The Summer of Love and partly the summer of the doors

Stephanie if you think about the fame it was only from 1967 to 1971 even though they were together from 65 they really only were famous from 1967 to 71 about April 67 to july 71 and me being a big doors fan since 1980 45 years now I still haven't gone to Paris to see his grave and only that I just learned for the first time only recently a few days ago that Paul Rodgers from free and bad company claims that Robby Krieger and John densmore and Ray manzarek we're looking for him at the gym died because they wanted him to be the lead singer of The doors don't know how that would have worked out but kind of crazy

I've got a story with this song and The Doors:
I always heard the first twelve seconds of this song when my grandpa picked me up in school, cuz' it was the curtain of a radio station, after the intro a voice said "La música que llegó para quedarse"(The music that came to stay)
I dont remember well, but i guess it was the 100.3FM Universal Estereo, here in Mexico. As I heard Manzarek playing at the beggining, I thought it was an instrumental song, played with something like a barrel organ, and Jim saying "You know that it would be untrue" was another song used on the curtain.
Years later, maybe sever or ten, exploring "Legendary" playlist on spotify I heard the song intro and I was surprised and... Kinda amazed? I remmebered my grandpa's music, wich once I din´t found good at all, now I'm absolutely in love with old time rock.

Mexico love the doors man and the doors love Mexico they were there in 1969 at some kind of dinner club I remember they said in the book I read I think it's a no one here except alive and probably other references to that when they sing the end and they got to the part where he sucks about his mother and father like the entire theater just stopped and was completely silent that really blew Jim Morrison's mind can you tell me so cool there was even a mural or some kind of a pain in the back of his face on the side of a building at that time I think which is probably long gone now unless it was there afterwards but I think I seen a picture of him standing in front of it
That keyboard sound is so epic with the Love Supreme chord progression!! The guitar solo has perfect reverb and the flamencoesque sound, not to mention it was robbie first song. The drumming is so exciting, energetic and fresh everytime. Then, of course, that voice and scream at the end. Like thunder from the gods! I wonder what the guys felt while they were playing it? Did they know? Play this for ET when they visit and ask what the 60s were!! ❤❤❤❤
