It looks really hard for anyone to make gaming vids without getting at least a little bit bothered by the inevitable backseating. If it helps, I'm somewhat of a newer viewer of yours and I'm loving your chill vibe and the silliness of this game.
Ive played the game since you´ve showed it off and ill give you a tip, the sunflowers need to be away from any structures by 2 islands in any of the 6 spaces around it, and im glad you did a penut run, since my first run ive been doing a penut run and they are broken. The best strat is putting apple trees in the center of a circle islands with popsicles and the machines for penuts, with on the four cornor islands having cows and the top and bottom middle islands having penuts, the last two side middle islands having fuel penuts, it creats a massive loop. Doing this with other stuff off to thie side in the same kind of island 9x9 is really efficent, i do it with wheat with silos and such since wheat can make all other recores you need.

i think i understand how sunflower works. basicaly all tiles adjacent to it need to have no strucutures and tiles and tile further need to have no structure, so if you have tile adjecent on the left of sunflowers, tile left from the tile need also be empty, a tile above sunflowers new to be empty and tile above the empty tile need to be empty, think about it as basically a big +
The 'adjecent islands' is a radius. So when sunflowers say '2 adjecent islands' it means there can't be structures on any island within two squares of the sunflowers.
I think the sunflower card is trying to say no structures within 2 adjacent islands. So if you plant sunflowers 2 islands with just plants away from a structure then they will give +3 production.
This seems like its a way to create a choice in what you want to do with sunflowers. You could either use the machines to process the sunflowers or you could keep them away from structures and produce +3 sunflower seeds. I really enjoy the series and hope you play this again!

To adjacent towels, that means that there cannot be anything that produces within two tiles of it. Meaning you have to have sunflowers 2 tiles away from anything that is producing something

Look at the islands like a grid system, moving in any direction one island would count as a range of one. So if there can't be structures"within" two islands it means like a' range' of two so a structure couldn't be on ANY of the surrounding islands within a range of 2 from the sunflower Island.

What a interesting game! Really into this series now. Game crashing is horrible though, can feel really defeating, hoping devs sort this out very soon.
so the 2 adjecin islands is like a 4 x 4 square 2 islands up 2 islands down 2 islands to the right 2 islands to the left and then you connect it into a square all of that needs to be empty by my logic just trying to help i hope you enjoy the game
Nerd mode works fine, there's a empty island under your sunflowers, but if you move one left (theres a building) 12:13

What I enjoyed most about the video is that you weren't afraid about making errors. I found that engaging, going through your thought process with you!
One thing I’ve noticed while playing with auto sell. If you click next turn before the animation for all your products goes through, they are not in your inventory, and don’t sell at the end of day. So you lose money by skipping turns too fast

Haven't finished watching yet but I believe you need two spaces out with no structures in any direction. So like let's say you got one square with a well on it and you get sunflowers, now buy three squares in any direction then place the seeds on the third one. That should get your triple production.
maiby the sunflowers mean that in range of 2 island there is not allowed to be a konstrukt

Adjacent is some to the sides, up and down when it say 2 adjacent island it mean 2 island to the left, right, up, down. It not your fault for not understanding it cuz it did not have proper explain but it also wrong in the description cuz it also does not like diagonal islands too.

I have a feeling the crashing is because of the recording. I played for hours yesterday and did not encounter a single crash. The dev also mentioned something in Discord about accidentally leaving vsync off in a build he pushed to steam, so that could be the cause.
When this was recorded, the game was crashing like crazy for everyone. Current version is much more stable

pretty sure the cardinal directions are adjacent and 2 adjacent means adjacent to either the isle or the adjacent tiles of the isle so kinda like a 5x5cross with a 3x3 square in the middle is the space needed free of structures ( i.e. well ) to farm the sunflowers

For the sunflowers you need the sunflower to be on an island that is two islands away from any structure. For example if you build the well on your starting island you need to buy three islands away from the starting island and then it'll increase the production because there would be two islands between the sunflowers and the well. Apologies if this is too backseaty.
I’m guessing if you just put it 2 islands away with no structures on the 1st one it will boost hopefully
Maybe its valuable keep a spot freen on an islamd in case you want to place a good positioned tree later
This game has a major crashing problem when the run is going almost insane. Hope they fixed, because this discourage me to keep playing

I find a lot of UA-camrs will cut out content due to crashes.
Or if there is a crash in an interest build, perhaps fast forward the beginning stages of the next build until something interesting comes along.

I reckon the sunflowers mean that there can't be any structure in islands within distance of 2. So either the cow pen or the well was 2 islands away and that probably stopped the production boost.
That is how I understand it too. The wording is definitely weird.

The way it's worded, it means they get boosted as long as there is at least 2 adjacent islands without sctructures (which, means you can have 2 islands WITH structures, and 2 islands WITHOUT, and still fill the requisite). Obviously there's some translation issue at hand, it's no biggie, but I don't think it's just "weird" wording, it's completely incorrect XD
It's obvious to any who can read or has ever played a game before. You cant have ANY structure within 2 miles of the sunflowers!

I actually installed the game and tried to look at the original text of the sunflowers
It reads "+3 de producao se nao houver estrutura dentro de 2 ilhas de distancia"
Which actually means "+3 production if there are no structures within 2 islands of distance" which makes much more sense to be fair, especially when there is the upgrade that you got that lets them do the Sunflower Paste by themselves
Real fricked up tho. We all called you out saying it meant "on two adjacent island" and we are now changing our minds so easily

I'm pretty sure that the sunflowers only get the 3 production buff if there is no structure within a radius of 2 islands. I have done no testing but that's how the tool tip reads to me.
It has a special wording when it's something to do with radius
You just need two islands that don't have any structures, no matter if you already have two others that do. You also GOTTA have islands, empty spaces do not count towards it, as seen by the fisherman shack
Yeah but the sunflowers were not showing a production increase when there were two islands adjacent with no structures. So they're bugged, the wording is wrong, or nerd mode lies.

Absolutely not what the sunflower card says, but seems to be how it functions. Which seems totally useless since if you have the money to get that far out, you’re probably not in need of that small a bonus.

Really the biggest problem with the game is that the translations are so bad on some cards that it's impossible to understand them the first time you use them. I also thought sunflowers worked the way you said the first time lol

Adjacent means anything that touches it, so diagonals count as adjacent in a grid.

Im just now finding out about this game, but from my basic understanding of the mechanics you've shown.
2 adjacent tiles. adjacent are + formation, so 2 means it extends outwards 1 tile further.
animal pens count as structures. so your cow pen in this case @10:51 blocked the sunflower bonus.
i dont think its buggy/incorrectly formatted. just a simple misunderstanding.
i noticed the card colors too.
black/gray = structures
pink = animals
green = crops
