Yeah his music is great, but I've met him many times during his earlier part of his career he was actually a horrible person with a giant ego , alot of my friends agreed with that . Doesn't take away from his beautiful music though, he is breathtaking with his talent . I hope he's just became more humble .

I'm 40 years old and and spent my youthful days listening to Alexisonfire and City and colour. Still do, each and every one of those guys are so talented. But Dallas. He's just another breed.
ME TOOOOOOO! I’m 42 and I remember the day the AoF debut record dropped and it changed my world! I was 23 and was just so obsessed with them! But you’re right! Dallas has that sound, his voice and that guitar! It’s un-matched! Have you seen his cover of AiC Nutshell? It’s one of my all time fave covers.
I would love to see a revisited version of "Sometimes". I feel like this album in it's entirety was legendary but the maturity and intracity that this version was played with tells the story of how much Dallas has grown since that album and I would love to hear all of these songs in a more recent style of Dallas' play style.
Sadly I think it would lose its original magic. But hearing it with ‘fresh pain(T)’ would be nice.

I just had to put my best friend of the last 15 years to sleep.. and oh how it hurts. But I think she loved city and colour as much as I do.. used to serenade her to this song as well as others but when I put her down yesterday, I played this and serenaded her as I held her and felt her take her last breath … I’ve never ever felt pain as much as I did yesterday. She was with me through all the trials and tribulations, held no judgment or resent no ulterior motive.. a gift that more need to experience, 💔

Saw him in concert before Covid ( thankfully) he was phenomenal! Enjoyed every minute of it.
As a young kid I would fall asleep to his albums on little gray CD player. My mother would always start it for me. I could not sleep without it. The sound of his angelic voice, the sound of his harmonic guitar, it all fuzed to create something so special for myself and his audience. As I became older I developed an understanding of his lyric, as I started to experience the things he had sung about. His songs provide a sense of security, knowing that Dallas can understand the things I have had to endure,even if he doesn’t know of my existence. Even still as a 16 year old, I listen to his songs to sleep on an Amazon Alexa Dot. Him and his songs will always have a place in my heart. To me he is the best, and always will be. Legends never die, and he truly is a legend in my world. His music is powerful enough to give me the courage to keep on with life. His music that was once only a lullaby to me became something that I can fully understand and cherish as I got older.
