The engineer definitely doesn't get enough credit, but if Metro didn't create that fire beat he wouldn't have anything to work with.

He did. Metro is killing it right now. But check out RL Grimes Remix of this song. He's an EDM trap producer mainly but his beats all hit hard and he's produced for some other bigger rappers.

In the beginning you see Travis laying down the vocals, sounding rusty and not as melodic. But as the process went on, the white boy engineer really added layers, on layers, of EQ, Doubles, ran his voice through a compressor, and improved the distortion levels. 80% of this was due to the sound engineer, but Travis has the right ear and flow.

Travis is a genius when it comes to finding the good rythm, fitting lyrics etc. But listen to his damn singing on the mic... Thank God, the sound engineer did everything to make it sound heavenly. Autotune and all the settings in mixing are saving artists asses nowadays.
