Physical controls including a lever to engage 4wd and the parking brake. Have some up fitter switches for extra lights and such. Preferably flat load floor with tie downs. I'll keep my 10 FJ but I'd buy a hybrid like that
I think the new 2.4 litre hybrid from Land Cruiser (Prado) J250 would be perfect, (keep Land Cruiser J250 more luxurious 7 seater, the new 4R something in between like a hardcore 7 seater off-road, and this thing a hardcore offoroad 5 seater only) and put more physical buttons in it, and make the large infotainment screen an option but a 8-in screen standard, with basic functions like a/c on buttons, what could be even better is a lever switch for 4WD modes and 3 lockers (front, centre, and rear), also add sway bar disconnect, with all off-road functionality and capabilities, plus Toyota reliability, this thing would sure be a wrangler/bronco killer

The new FJ is initially being built at the Tahara Plant in Japan it will be about the same size as the new Suzuki 5 Door Jimny 4x4

Comparing an FJ to a Jimi tells me this guy has no idea. The FJ is twice the car in terms of weight, power, size, features and capability. Jimi is only a light weight.

It's still my daily driver. I just gave my son my '85 FJ60. It has 300,000+ miles and is going to be assaulting the wilds of Utah now. Sign me up for the new FJ. Without a touchscreen and all that foofoo mommy stuff. Rock rails and a decent sound system. That's all I want. I do not want to go through all of the bullshit that I went through when I put a deposit, in July of '06, $36,000, for the original FJ that ordered from Kearny Mesa Toyota. I finally got my TRD in early November of '06. The sales end of the deal was pretty slimy, and I had cousins in car sales, not Toyota. Toyota needs to bring back integrity as the first point of their sales program.

I could see a stripped down version - the $20,000 one - being sold in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, but not in Europe or North America. The latter two markets are probably going to be starting at $28,000, which is where the base Jeep Renegade is.
MSRP Price in the U.S. will be $45,000, but dealers will mark them up to $80-$100,000 and suckers will flock to buy them. I work a dealer in FL, and we plan to mark up the Land Crusier 15-20K over MSRP. Suckers will pay up so I can get a big fat bonus.
