Fawad Khan is a fantastic actor. Keep aside his star value and looks, just based on his acting, he is a phenomenal performer. Im from India and I've not even watched the few Hindi movies he has starred in. You're right, too much hype.
However, the way he has performed in Dastaan or even Barzakh, forget Humsafar even, is outstanding. He has quite a subtle delivery, and expressed only through his eyes without being over emotive.
