one thing I see you can do to make your video extra educational is to add a 1 min brief into explaining the system you are test/troubleshooting. For instance here, what ia adblue valve? how does it work? What does it do? Etc. Thank you for making these videos.
I have a 2022 Sprinter. Started up the van today and saw check engine light. Drove it for an 2 hours and got the message “Additive (Def) System Fault System Starts Emerg. Op: 10 See Operator’s Manual”
I recently purchased a 2014 Sprinter and the check engine light came on and then the start count begin (10 starts remaining... ). I took it to a shop that diagnosed it as a failed DEF injector like you replaced. However after the repair, they cleared all codes but the DEF light on the dashboard came on. It wasn't on before and I had just filled my DEF tank. The shop is telling me that they need a MB Code reader to reset the DEF code otherwise it will go back into start count down. They will charge me $500 for this as they have to out source it to someone who has the MB code reader. I've read elsewhere that since the injectors been replaced, I should just drive it and the DEF light will go away on its own, unless there are other issues. What do you think?
@MrTrumpetbrian The DEF System might need to be reset by a factory scanner, 500$ is a lot for that though, you can take it to the MB Dealer and have them reset the light for a lot cheaper, unless there is another issue in the System!
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair Thanks. I have an appointment at the dealer to scan and reset if necessary. In the meantime I'll drive the vehicle and maybe the DEF light will reset itself.
In some cases with my Vitos, after replacing the valve … the light didn’t go off, and I could not reset the fault code, however after driving it for about 25 miles it reset itself probably takes a while for the control unit to reset itself. The fault did not reappear.
hi, u made a excellent video, I have that code and the engine lights comes on e comes off in My 2019 sprinter van, today I check the valve and I can see some white thing at conections looks like something leackind. what the best solutions, coz i dont know if I have to reset the sistem on dealership, please what do you think????

Thanks for the video. I have tried everything to get the bolt loosened to remove the injector valve, but I can’t get it. What kind of socket did you use? I tried e-torx (e-4 through e-7) and normal 6 point sockets. It will not budge for me.
I have a fault code on my sprinter saying EGR sensor A is faulty. Can you tell me where this sendd at or would be located ? 2014 Freightliner 3500 v6 diesel. I enjoy your videos
How are doing my man? I removed the valve, it was pretty clean, but it was crystalized all around. Also the nipple spins around. Does it have to be like this? Maybe it sipping because of it spins?
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair Thanks for the answer. I removed the bracket, pulled out the nippel, there is an "o-ring", put a new one, became tight. Anyway, I know, the valve has to be changed. Found by a part number that you provided. Thanks again for the nice video 👍
