Normally when the player does a perfect dodge time slows down just like bayonetta, but those twin boss whose first two videos u watched has that ability too so when u go matrix (slow time) the twins can overlay that with their own matrix slowing you down, now u gotta perfect dodge again to cancel their matrix or vice versa. Basically the boss and the player was matrix cancelling back and forth that is why it was looking weird
"All this music AND FOR WHAT??" Now you know 😂😂😂 And yes, Rexlent MAKES it look easy. Dodging consumes Stamina and if you run out, you can get 6-combo'd to oblivion...
Pgr is imo one of the best gacha mobile games out there right now in terms of visuals, music, optimization, combat, and fairness for a gacha system. It's amazing seeing where it goes too since China and other asian countries are ahead, so seeing characters that aren't released in global yet just makes me personally more excited since it only gets better!
About the combat we see the 3 color orbs, each specific character has 3 different skills corresponding each color, there are also something we call core skill which is something of a combination of orbs unique to each character, Alpha for example (the vergil girl) her red orb skill does triangular aoe dmg which has i-frames and her yellow dashes through the opponent, her core skill can be activated by using 3 blue orbs into any 3 orb of the same color to do the rapid slash in which the color orbs will be replaced by white orbs to spam. Doing basic attacks will gain you an orb, and using enough orbs and attack will fill up your ultimate gauge. Next, the dodge, pretty simple you have a dodge meter mostly around 4-6 dodges depending on what character you are using, you can't spam it since it will go in cooldown if you exhausted all your dodges. Dodging an attack which is about to hit you activates the matrix or the witch time(but you are not invulnerable, it only slows down time). Dodge can also cancel the first few attacks in the full attack sequence and go into the gap closer attack of the full sequence immediately to close distance.
Probably my favorite game at the moment, certainly my favorite Gacha game. Definitely needs more attention. In my opinion, one of my favorite parts is how each character just seems feels different and fairy unique when you use each of them.
People dont know how hard this game is to dodge and parry that attack, to be that perfect no damage you are insane gamer Your reflexes and instincts are put to the test here
For context on the Twin Boss fight, there is a perfect dodge mechanic called "matrix" that you normally have that freezes enemies, and provides DPS windows for you. The Twins gimmick is that they can "matrix" dodge as well after you matrix them. So you sorta tug-of-war with matrix dodges until they have a damage window open up
If you wanna see more stuff like that, the company working on PGR is making a NEW Open-World game with PGR Mechanics on Mobile&PC/Console called "Wuthering Waves" I'd suggest you give their UA-cam channel a look. Hasn't even BEGUN Beta-Testing, but it already looks amazing.
These bosses are one of our first proper bosses in the game, there's a ton more bosses who are more cracked than this especially the later ones oh boi.
Ok, first I will talk about the basic mechanics of the game, the game works with a system called "ping/orb system" which in a nutshell is a candy crush red orbs, blue orbs and yellow orbs, you can give it, the more you press the more effects/damage you will have with a maximum of 3 pings at the same time. you have a basic attack with an amount between 4-5 and 6 hits and something quite curious is that the dodge has an internal cd (you can dodge more or less 5-6 times in a row before running out of stamina) the less stamina you have, the more slow will fill the bar, so you have to know when to dodge Finally, if you manage to dodge at the right time you do a "perfect dodge" which makes you enter the "Matrix" which makes time slow down for a few seconds and all the orbs/pings you touch will be taken as 3.
As seen in the videos there is also a parry in the game, the parry is only possible on some specific bosses or characters. As for the story, basically it's about a nano-virus (known as "Punishing") who it spread around the world and it had 2 effects 1. Any person (I think animals are not affected) who was affected by the virus would soon die quite grotesquely. 2. If the virus was taken by a robot/appliance it would be infected and no matter what it was (see an automatic door) it would try to kill humans or anything with a "Human mind". Due to this effect the virus was called punishing, since humanity saw it as a punishment for trying to reach the gods (since humanity had reached a "golden age" where they were preparing to invade other planets)
seeing that the virus killed everything it touched (at least in humans) humanity had no choice but to leave the earth to a gigantic spaceship (which they were going to use to travel to other planets) and stay there, seeing that could do against the virus, things seemed lost until the "Constructs" project came to light, a project where you insert a human consciousness into a robot (I'll skip the details, but the explanation makes sense at least in theory) despite that the project was a success the virus still affected the robots causing them to attack humans, to avoid this it was necessary to maintain "humanity" in the consciousness of the "constructs" because despite the fact that the virus killed humans, was unable to dominate their minds. the story begins with a protagonist (quite gigachand I must say) who is a human commander in charge of a special team known as "Gray raven/s" which is made up of 3 Constructs Lucia (Black/red hair girl) Lee (Blue guy, dual pistols) Liv (White hair girl) that would be a summary of everything before starting the story without spoliers
Now, for videos of the best battles in the game, the truth is that there are a lot, here I will leave the most peculiar ones, either because they have unique mechanics or simply because they are epic/clean℠ ua-cam.com/video/53ONj7l_KPY/v-deo.html
They just recently announced an official open test for the PC client with controller support (see their YT announcement). So emulators will soon be a thing of the past. Being said, the combat, music, and lore in this game is definitely great. Specially the combat, so innovative. Some call it the Dark Souls of mobile. I suggest looking up their future game called Wuthering Games. It's basically open-world PGR.
the quality of PGR is so high for mobile game standard but not popular as casual game, In hardest difficult you are death in 2-3 hit sometime they just 1 shot you if you are whale maybe you could take 1-2 more hit(only different is whale could clear faster as more dmg output). the problem is they(kuro) only know how to build game and not doing marketing this why we(PGR player) alway try to help they promote if possible.
That's why even if we're pulled into a drama with another game that has a massive fandom we saw it as a marketing opportunity Quoted from one Indonesian PGR fan: "ADA PGR COY"
Okay, so you asked for an explanation of what's going on, so here it is. All throughout the game, we have access to a perfect dodge system called Matrix. When you dodge an attack, it makes the world go slow-mo while you can move at normal speed. This boss is able to ALSO go into Matrix and make YOU slow while they go casual speed. You can still time your dodges correctly to activate your Matrix inside of theirs, but yours also has an invisible cooldown so you need to use it wisely. Whenever the character you saw, her name's Rosetta, jumped into the air and then blasted and slammed into the ground, that was her "Signature Move", all characters in the game have their own Sig. Moves that do different things, usually damage but sometimes utility. There's also a parry system, all you need to do is just hit them when they hit you and it'll negate the damage and deal some posture damage to the enemy. Once an enemy's posture is broken, you can just stunlock them until they get it refreshed.
Another set of playlist I've created. This one's a bit crazy because it showcases most of latest playable characters in CN server and they're mostly insane than what we global have today. Focusing on each different characters against their own different bosses. But I think lets start the first video with a moveset showcase video of a character, to get a feel of how combos and movesets are usually played out in this game. ua-cam.com/play/PL6bKY1f-D5-5wSd5Fd1mEj8zv3JWY8ID0.html
- theres 2 emulator recommende, LDPlayer and Mumu (the best one imo), i personally play on MuMu with Keyboard, theres also a video on how to set up controller too by the same CC of the video you watched - For the first twin boss , their mechanic is that imagine you play bayonetta eith Witch time... all is good untill they decide to make the boss able to Counter Witch Time here, so basically you got witch time battle /exchange - the 2nd boss whole gimmick is (the spider ball) is basically the first ever proper parry able boss, u can basically parry with any move set as long as the timing is right (theres unbeliveable amout of cool sh*t pro player doing beautifull stylish parry like the one you watch) So basically the whole battle system is u had Witch time when u dodge time it right, but u had to carefull coz dodge is limited. You also had basic attack, skill attack ( the yellow blue red orb) + core passive (an inbuild kinda passive skill that make each character unique) and ultimate . - About core passive for example on 2nd video, the nlack red jacket girl core passive is she able to change mode to fill ice burst damage , Alpha on last video core passive is that vergil slashesh activated by blue orb and then any other 3 orb ... so it is basically how you play/manage candy crush miss match while dodge and reacting to every sht enemy throw at you
Nice reaction! Hope we'll soon see you play the game on the channel. Also, fun fact. Did you recognize the OST from the first fight? It's actually a remix version of Narwhal from GhostFinal himself, and it was implemented in the game in a pretty cool way. In some fights where you're supposed to have the Narwhal ost, you have a small percentage of chance to get the remix instead of the og Narwhal, pretty cool if you ask me. You should check it out!
So, if anybody is confused about the HUD with the abilities, yall played candy crush or any connect-3 games? This is basically it. 1 orb is the ability and 2/3 orbs in the same row is an empowered ability. This combat system is pretty fun because it rewards the resource management but doesent lock you into boring cooldown timers when you wanna get spammy
For emulators, people are using either MumuPlayer or LDPlayer. I haven't tested LDPlayer yet, but from my experience with MumuPlayer so far, the game looks and performs well. However, the game tends to crash at random times, try LDPlayer first. And yes, the game has controller support when using a phone/tablet, but you have to manually map the buttons on an emulator.
My first encounter with the twins i was like "oh god what even is this? This is just ridiculous , i will just trust the plot will help me because i already gave up" while tapping whatever buttons on the screen. (Honestly what i mean by "whatever buttons" is just i just play tap the orb pings , evasion , attack randomly like someone hysterical and surrendering to tedium.
How's the game on pc? I personally play on my phone because I have a gaming phone, but I bought a pc so idk how u can handle the camera like you do on Mobile Seems like a Nerf to me. M kinda hesitated.
You have two types of characters: Constructs- Humans that transferred their consciousness into Android bodies. And Transcendants- Constructs so deeply infected by the Virus, they might as well be Corrupted (the enemies in the game)
You can't have Constructs and Transcendants on the same team. You are guaranteed to get copies of Transcendants every 10 draws and at lvl 52, you get the Transcendant Camu: Crocotta for free.
The Horse you saw was a C.U.B Unit- a specialized unit you can attach to your characters for special effects (these are more for Min-Maxing, so they're low priority up to Endgame)
As for Emulators LDPlayer and MuMu are the go-to Android Emulators. However, fair warning ⚠️ Because you activate abilities by pressing a specific number and color of orbs, it feels rather awkward on a non-touch platform.
Alpha is basically this game's Vergil and is the most badass character in the game.

At this point you guys should just check all PGR trailers or PV on every update to know who the characters and whi the boss on this game

"They're tryna punish the gray raven" 🔥🔥🔥🔥
PGR is the most console-like mobile game I've ever played.
You guys can also check out Wuthering Waves, an upcoming PC and mobile open world ACTION rpg from the sane guys who made Punishing Gray Raven
Basically player / MC have this overpowered matrix slow mo moments and the twins has it too.
Use Mumu Nebula for optimized emulator and officially endorses by PGR devs.
Great vid!

Can confirm PGR is dope
Good news PGR just announced that they're doing Beta Test for PC
The 1st video crazy asf... look easy... but actually even normal bosses hard enough for me bruh
Funny you mention Nier since they had a collab event with Nier Automata
Cool you reacted to gameplay you already have my like

Well, it seems like my friends here covered most of the stuff, so I'll be short on some of it;
You have two types of characters:
Constructs- Humans that transferred their consciousness into Android bodies.
And Transcendants- Constructs so deeply infected by the Virus, they might as well be Corrupted (the enemies in the game)
You can't have Constructs and Transcendants on the same team.

You have B, A and S Rank Frames (Characters)
Each with their unique Coatings (Skins), which you either grind and/or pay for.
As for Emulators
LDPlayer and MuMu are the go-to Android Emulators.
However, fair warning ⚠️
Because you activate abilities by pressing a specific number and color of orbs, it feels rather awkward on a non-touch platform.
If you think dodging is easy its freaking hard.. that youtuber posting that nohit boss fight would take 50-100 attempts
for emulator use: MUMU emulator
PGR is the best gacha.
