Hi Shashank on your internal switch advice I have a question. Am in final year of MTech cse. After interning at a product based company for an year just got converted to a full time software engineer. However got another campus placement as a Data Engineer in an analytics company. Pays double, is in different city though. Should i join the Data Engineer role in analytics or continue as software engineer in current company and look for an internal switch down the line. Am apprehensive about switch due to fears of recession. Kindly help.

Most people in DS and DE are frustrated because companies in India want 10 different skills and 3 different cloud platforms and SQL db and admin , NoSql, plus perfect python and tableau developer and admin and power bi developer and admin and pyspark and Databricks developer and admin and synapse and AWS glue and knowledge of Kafka and iot and data modelling, Machine Learning, deep learning, MLOps on all cloud platforms ... And 20 other things !! The IT industry in India is full of idiots on top and slavery!!
