They should cover the mosaics during prayer hours. Remove it after prayer hours for tourists and orthidox christians to preserve their culture.

Would be nice if sons focus was given to the fantastic conservation work that has been done to maintain the architecture and character of this beautiful building. It was consecrated for the worship of God, and it survives for that exact purpose today. ❤
Why transform Christian places of worship to Muslim ones? In the Quran Allah says that the Christians and the Jews are the People of the Book & their places of worship where God's name is pronounced, should be protected by Muslims. Also read Sura 5: 82 - 83. Note also how the Christians are prosecuted in the Holy land, just because they say we believe! May Allah guide us all 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

Crusades, INQUISITION, occupation pf Muslim lands and end of Muslim rule throughout different land saw thousands of Muslim places of worship being totally demolished and destroyed. Just take a look, what Armenians did in Karabakh (Azerbaijan), Greece ( till to this day no mosque in Athens !) India, Myanmar (Burma), list goes on.

Islam came to us through diplomacy, we don't turn our ancestors temple and other worship place to masjid. Because islam teach us to living in peace with others. It mean embrace the diversities

This is a political move and how can Muslims pray with images surrounding them?
I am not comfortable with converting places of worship, this should be a place where Christians worship, which Muslims can share the same location as long as there are no images of humans and animals...
No more complaints about the Chinese Government rebuilding masjids to take on cultural architecture not to resemble Wahhabi style because the Sahaba and lineage of sahaba traveled to China for centuries and the masjids in those days did not resemble those of KSA Wahhabi architect...
