- Jasper National Park (Alberta) is one of the Canadian Rocky Mountain parks. The Canadian Rockies are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site for their striking mountain landscape.

This reminds me a lot of where I grew up in Colorado. I would love to go up to Canada and experience the mountain ranges there. Some people love the beach, I will always choose mountains over any other landscape as my paradise.

I would imagine Colorado has a very similar landscape as a Jasper. They both are located in Rocky mountains!

My favorite place in Canada . Grateful to have lived 45 minutes away , now its a 3 hour trip , and in poor health . Have many great pictures and memories though.

I spent time in Jasper, in one word I was "enraptured" by the scenery, the wildlife and the overall sense of power.

Banff is stunning but Jasper national park is every bit as beautiful ! The wildlife in Jasper seems to be more immediate and the landscape seems more spacious also . while Banff has beautiful Yoho national park nearby , about an hour or so from the Jasper town-site is the gorgeous Mount Robson provincial park ( it should really be a national park )...it's in British Columbia. Mount Robson is one of the worlds most beautiful and unique mountains. When in Jasper don't miss the easy but romantic hike at Pyramid mountain and lake especially at sunset ! A drive into the interior to the Miette hot springs is very rewarding especially after a day of hiking .

I can only imagine how pure the air quality would be
Its actually really hit or miss. I visit the rockies pretty often and it really depends on what time of year you go. Mid August they get a lot of forest fires that make the air a bit more hard to breathe.
If you go earlier tho expect a bit more snow but air quality is better.
All of winter is pretty good but also good luck hiking

Jasper is my happy place. Lake Edith was the most magical setting.
Lived in Edmonton in the late 60's and this was our regular weekend camping area in the summer .

Canmore, Banff, Ice Fields Parkway, Jasper & Yoho are incredibly beautiful. If you haven't visited go before the glaciers are gone.
