BEVERLY HILLS COP: AXEL F (Netflix Teaser Trailer) The Popcorn Junkies Reaction

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is an upcoming American action comedy film directed by Mark Molloy, written by Will Beall, Tom Gormican and Kevin Etten, from a story by Beall, and starring Eddie Murphy. Set to be released on Netflix, it will be the fourth installment in the Beverly Hills Cop film series, following Beverly Hills Cop (1984), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), and Beverly Hills Cop III (1994).
The film entered development in the mid-1990s, under Murphy's production company. Various directors and screenwriters were attached over the years, including Brett Ratner and Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. Molloy was hired to direct in April 2022, with production beginning in California that August. Production has wrapped up, with the film scheduled to be released in mid-2024

What you forget about the first one is that it was always serious tone. The comedy came due to the situations that Axel was in or Axel try and throw the villains off guard.

I don’t think Eddie will be able to match his first Axel outing. He was so witty, funny, cheeky as you say. Even the revamped theme tune is a bit off for me. Sometimes they’re best left alone x

Trailer looks really slow and laboured . Loved the original but no spark here. Eddie Murphy is obviously so much older and as you were eluding to Mark - the cheekiness of the character has gone . Hated what they’ve done to the soundtrack which was an absolute classic at the original speed. Sorry to be so negative but you can’t resurrect a classic in my opinion. X Ps loved the vlogmas videos Mark always hilarious

This is a real throwback - particularly Akhwell! The first one was great, the 2nd was iconic with Brigette Neilson, but not up to the first and No.3 was just...no. Might see some redemption of the franchise with this one, so will be watching...if there's nothing else to watch. Btw is this a new camera? Image quality is really crisp and focussed

Looking forward to the Top 10/5😂 being a 70s child I loved Eddie Murphy and so want this film to be good but that look a bit 🧀. Hope we are wrong Mark.

I hate to criticise Eddie he is sich a legend but he has lost that charm you talk about. I did like his recent prime Christmas film so hopefully. I will definitely give it a go. Im obssesed with his 2 comedy specials delirious and raw.
