Thanks very much for producing this video. It has it taught me to use the matrix functions on the Casio fx991ES. The video has enabled me to go beyond the scope of the FP1 topic on Matrices and I can now manually undertake the Det of a Matrix which is greater than a 2 x 2 matrix. I can now do the Det of a 3 x 3 Matrix manually also. The video has been useful as well in terms of my A Level Further Pure 1 paper that I have coming up in June 2014. Thanks ever so much for your time & trouble in making this video. It's been a great help. Dimension error means that the 2 matrices you used are not matched for multiplication. It will always work for square matrices of the same size, since the number of rows and columns are equal. If your matrices are not square matrices, make sure that they match for multiplication. The number of columns in the first matrix must be the same as the number of rows in the second matrix. If this is the case and you try to multiply them the other way round it won't work as you will get a dimension error
Is there a way I can calculate Eigenvalues on this calculator? I seem to remember being able to do it somehow with Eigenvalues appearing as X(subscript) 1= ? and by pressing another button, X (subscript) 2 =?...cannot for the life of me remember how to do it, I can find determinants but not Eigenvalues. Cheers
Calculator++ Fx by graficlux can do vector calculations like projection, cross, dot products, vectors angle, unit vector, convert between polar cylindrical spherical and rectangular forms, matrix calculations like determinants, rank, inverse, transpose, LU, QR decomposition, ref, rref, can solve systems of lynear equations, draw graphs, and much more, check it on youtube.
If you mean an augmented matrix representing 2 equations in 3 variables, then this calculator can't do anything with it. The calculator does a lot of things, but it is still a cheap calculator.
