As a Filipino, I’m so happy SB19 is getting so much recognition from others. It’s been a loooong time (6-7 years?) since I’ve last been to the Philippines so it’s sad I won’t get to see them live which breaks my heart, but I’m very happy that a lot of people are recognizing their skills. Hugot is a Filipino word with a connotation that doesn't really translate to English. Taking it literally, it means "pull/get power from". Nowadays we use it to refer how we speak words that have very deep emotional meanings behind them, as in how people "fetch inspiration from experience"; more often that "experience" is from a sad lovelife or something tragic in one's life in general. So yeah, this group is actually full of crackheads and they are very funny (you should watch their interviews). They often tease their moody leader about how these lyrics have deep meanings. They just finished 4 local concerts and on their way to Dubai for the Oct 29 concert. After that, they're off to USA (NYC, LAX and SFO).
