I love how he's a deep thinker. I really enjoyed the masculinity discussion. I totally agree with Sean that there's this false image of masculinity we've had for so long. I would also add the church in America by and large has not helped. As a Christian, I really value what John Eldredge writes in "Wild at Heart." The book is about masculinity in the image of God, but also discusses that femininity reflects the image of God in its own way. Eldredge presents that every man has 3 core desires: a battle to fight, an adventure to live, and a beauty to fight for. Goku and Vegeta, among others in DBZ, demonstrate these core desires. They both have their battles, they have their adventures, and they each have a beauty and a family to fight for. To me, DBZ doesn't force the idea that masculinity is all about being macho, but shows that true masculinity goes so much deeper than that. Vegeta is so much more respectable AS A MAN when he grows to fight for something other than his own pride. There's nothing macho or meat-headed about that at all! From my worldview, masculinity isn't about being tough all the time and never acknowledging or sharing your feelings, nor is femininity about submission to authority and expression of emotion. Men and women are created in the image of God, and masculinity and femininity reflect different aspects of that image. Men tend to reflect His strength and warrior nature, while women tend to reflect His beauty and passionate nature. But it works both ways, men have great capacity for passion and women have great capacity for strength. Masculinity and femininity are not mutually exclusive among the sexes, but are both critical to understanding the nature of God.

I think Goku being "arrogant" after becoming super saiyan fits. He learned from Vegeta and his own experience how horrible Frieza is.
If I was the voice of Goku I'd try my best to work out and look just like him! Schemmel has the hair but not the guns!
he is old man what do you expect?!
Not old but to be at that level of fitness is nigh impossible
He’s in great shape for his age!
I want his shirt so bad!!!
