Hong Kong 1950-60s Pearl of the Orient

Vintage view of Hong Kong. 8mm home movie taken by amateur movie maker Roy Charlton possibly during 1950s or 1960s. He travelled the world with his movie camera.

He was a member of a movie making club called, the Qld Amateur Cine Society, later Qld Movie Makers. Their motto was 'make movies make friends'.

Mr. Cino, thank you so much you uploaded the video. In side the film at 1:28 - 2:10 , the areas called " Shek Kip Mei ", I was growing up in their. I'm 68, it brings me back a lots of memories! Mr. Charlton, you're a good amateur movie maker. Thanks.....

@@mrcinotravels In 60s 70s the most tourists came to Hong Kong is American and Japanese, one of the major sightseeing place is " Resettlement Estates ". Shek Kip Mei R/E is one of location, where the tourists came to visited.
