I would love to see some cheap drugstore makeup review from you. Im curious to hear what are your opinions on popular products like essence, catrice, rimmel, revolution etc. You never really talk about those. xo

Ana A @melissaalatorre I was about to say the same. Like her technique and recommendations. However, sometimes we cant use the same product not because of the price but its accessibility and compatibility. For instance certain highend brands like Laura Mercier/Mac foundations or makeup just burn my skin. Would be nice to see an expanded collections of hers. Will give Nars a try and see :).

FAVORITE UA-camR 100%... you’re beautiful, very reliable, and refreshingly honest and I appreciate that so much!! I started using the Dr. Jart Cicapair line because of your review and I absolutely fell in love along side of so many others like DE Lala Retro🥰 SO... I was wondering if you have tried the Dr. Jart Ceremidin Cream or if you plan to and if so, could you please do a review? I know skincare is personal and takes time to test so I understand if you can’t! Stay beautiful and never change!!

Awesome!! I’m sorry to ask another question because I know you get a ton of comments but maybe just if you have time... I noticed you used sunscreen from Zo Skincare and I actually use some of their medicated items and through the med spa I got it at, I also got turned on to Elta Md Skincare sunscreen and it’s seriously the best I’ve ever tried. Specifically I use the 46spf clear one and it has never broken me out and it’s sooooo moisturizing. I also tried the tinted one and it just doesn’t compare. I actually have super oily skin and when I first put it on, although it felt amazing, it was so shinny(the way I wish my skin would naturally glow)... HOWEVER, it goes amazing under makeup! I was shocked... I’d be curious to know what you think if you’ve tried it and if you haven’t, I’d highly recommend it... thanks for the reply💕

Koh Gen Do is a smaller brand from Japan and as a person who lives in Japan I could see why therea such a small shade range lol in Japan you don’t really need to have lots of shades cause more than 95% of the population have the same skin tone😂 but as you said, they are trying👏👏

    • @MelissaAlatorre
      @MelissaAlatorre  5 років тому +14

Marina Ishimaru yes I completely agree, for their brand it makes total sense because that’s a majority of their business but they are getting popular across the globe and should slowly but surely start extended their shade range as they become more and more popular lol

I have oily skin and it has improved a lot since sticking to a skin care regime, but this is actually how I do my routine too. A hydrating foundation and setting it really well vs matte foundation compares a lot when I end up having bad skin days.

The fenty gloss bomb is THE BEST! So worth the extra splurge to get the tiny size at Sephora!! Pop in your evening bag!! Also Eve pearl peach corrector is THE BEST!

Favorite orange/salmony color corrector: Jose Blasco the orange concealer - it's super orange and creamy. Reminds me of old school theatre makeup, it COVERS. Not right for all skin types but I have yellow undertones, and very dark under eyes and it's the only thing that works to cover purple under my skin.

Benefit’s boing brightening concealer! Great peachy shades. Love the texture, and coverage and huge plus, it wears down beautifully by the end of a work day! I really only use foundation to spot conceal, yet this benefit concealer looks great and not out of place at all

I 💯 agree on a natural finish foundation working better for texture as long as you then set it well. Matte makes me look old as dirt as I get older and emphasizes my texture just as bad as a dewy foundation would, if not worse because I also look like Skeletor. Love demi/satin matte over anything.
Try the Bare Mineral Invisible Bronzer- SO good!

That's a great concealer blending tip! If I wear foundation I wear it like this (I use luminous silk) and then spot conceal. Going to try that trick and put foundation on the sponge before blending so I don't remove too much coverage. Thanks queen!

I feel like when you put powder on, it takes away from the skin being dewy. I don’t set my dewy foundation. It’s really easy to fix your makeup through out the day when you don’t use powder. I have no issues and my skin stays pretty dewy and glowy! But this look is beautiful regardless!

    • @rainboweatingteddy

Nudestix, I now can do an easy fast entire face when I don't have time or just want a certain look natural or dramatic no muss or fuss look and Lancome Teint Idole camouflage in 260 I use as an under eye base, the best!! Melissa, have you tried to set the areas with texture/where you’ve covered post acne marks with a foundation powder that actually had some coverage? That way you’re mattifying and setting those areas whilst adding more coverage & you then won’t risk moving around your coverage with bronzer etc

I just heard that Sunday Riley had employees sending emails telling people (other employees) to write good reviews on their products. Specifically saying "my skin was so bad and I tried everything until I found this and it finally fixed my problem." I don't know if you heard but I just found out about it and figured I would let you know, I know their products are pricey but if their products work for you then great! I just didn't appreciate their dishonesty

This tutorial is one of my top 5 favorites EVER! Although you're naturally gorgeous, this was so helpful. Thank you chica and Merry Christmas!!🥰🎄

Finally someone else says the Fenty gloss bomb smells like kool-aid! Lol I’ve always thought that and I love it. You inspired me to take out my liquid Becca shimmering skin perfector for tomorrow :) also their under eye brightener is peachy and works great

Tarte lifted isn’t discontinued. Maybe specifically at Sephora or something but still available on their website.

I absolutely love these tips! I just hope it works for my super oily skin :(
Makeup always either slips off my face in a couple hours no matter what items I use or it just doesn't do anything.
You look absolutely gorgeous though! xx

I recommend the benefit erase paste! They changed the name I think it’s called the boing brightening concealer now but it’s so good and I think you will love it!! Also Bobbi brown has a good corrector too.

I used to love the Erase Paste, but I honestly don't see the same or even similar consistency to the Boing.

Thank you sooo much for sharing these tips!! I literally woke up with a rash/reaction to my face in my lower half of my face around my nose and chin. It’s very textured and red and all these tips were really helpful in covering up. I probably should air out my skin but I’m sooo insecure on how I look. Ugh and I, as well, have always had clear skin. I can’t help but wonder if my skin is reacting to new products or diet. But thank you again for your tips.

Your make up looks great. I have a couple darker spots from zits. I’m so into skin cares now and use no foundations, maybe little spot concealer. Love the no make up look.
You look great without make up, too!

Absolutely stunning natural look. I don’t have problem skin, but I will be trying this look......Your skin is so brown? Is it natural? Or is it a bottled tan? If so which one do you use. You looked so healthy.

I use 3.75 in the Anastasia pot concealer for color correction. I’m a NC 20 in Mac foundation. Not sure if you can ever get the Anastasia anymore. Also bong benefit shade med is nice.
