Living in So Cal and not being too concerned about the weather is understandable. Cali versions of this rig should have a 'Your state is on fire again' alert though. 73's!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and the comment! It is greatly appreciated. So very true. They could have one frequency letting the state know we are yet again on fire, and another frequency that screams "EARTHQUAKE!!!!"
Thank you for taking the time to watch and the comment! It is greatly appreciated. I gave that manual to one of my kids to read for a French class assignment. 😂😂
Thank you for taking the time to watch and your question! It is greatly appreciated. This radio uses a shared memory for the channels so I don't believe there is anyway to separate the A/B channels by band.
If you use RT Systems programing software, this is possible. There is a "mask" feature in the software. Mine is set up to mask 440 on "A" side, so only 2m will be active and 440 will be hidden. Oposite for "B" side, where 440 is shown and 2m is hidden. Basically turns it into two radios. 73's
How do I manually Program 2 PL's? Tone to the Repeater Tone from Repeater coming Back Example PL Tone 103.5. Decode 156.7. As an example. Some Repeaters Use 2 Different tones. Do I need the Software Program to do this or can I do it Manually?
Thank you for taking the time to watch and the comment! It is greatly appreciated. You might want to see if www.youtube.com/@HamRadio2 has a video or two on working with Winlink.
Thank you for Watch and commenting. It is greatly appreciated. I do not believe this will transmit out of band. You might could do a MARS/CAP on it. In fact HRO does them for $39.95

If I ever need another I would think about it. I have the DT-400, and ID 4100 and a few others. Just getting back into it after 30+ years.
I also have a Yaesu FT-M400 in my car. A good radio, but not nearly as rugged as the TM-V71A.
Thanks...
