As for what other animals could be on a leash, my family has a newspaper clipping from ages ago, when my great-grandmother caused a multi-car accident in downtown Baton Rouge. Apparently she was walking her pet skunk on a leash, and drivers were so surprised to see it that they forgot to watch the road... She had an exotic pet store in the early 1900s (1930s, maybe?) and sold descented skunks as pets. She also owned a green parrot named Polly and a monkey naked Bobo. I've got a ton of stories about her... she was an interesting lady!
My family and I live really close to Monterey and I've grown up going to visit The Warf, Big Sur and Pebble Bach! It's soooo much fun watching my favorite vlogger visit the places so near and dear to my heart! Gatsby's joyful beach bounding made my day :)
