There's comfort in seeing good swell arrive for home. You don't need to scout around, can score sessions right out the door, and spend as much quality time in your own lil' bubble as possible. For this particular swell, the Canary Islands' Laura Coviella and Jonathan Gonzalez, would have had a bunch of perfect waves at home. But the spirit of discovery has never thrived by staying comfy.
