See how happy these people are when gathering together to celebrate their joy of knowing their Lord and Savior and ❤love for him and each other,❤ should that alone tell us something !
I can never hear this song without weeping! It takes me back to the time my daddy sang it on a Sunday morning. The next Sunday my grandmother ask him to sing it again...he did! And the next week she ask the same thing...and he did it again, because he loved his mother-in-law! The 4th Sunday he sang it again, but this time at her funeral! Daddy was so happy he hadn't said no!!
I was diagnosed with a poor prognosis leukemia in 2007. I was told I had at best 24 months to live. They suggested we try a very grooling chemo, which did. The doctor said he was surprised i survived that, as I was hospitalized twice. Well, 6 months later, I had aggressive breast cancer due to the lack of a tumor suppressant gene. After a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction, and 16 years I am not very Immunodeficient and require infusions every two weeks. I told them the day I was diagnosed, no matter what let God be glorified. Prayer chains began all over there world. So many people tell me how my journey inspires them. They inspire me. Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for us, I guess my paint isn't dry yet. I know who holds my future!
Yes, I know who has held my land for 62 years. I was born in 1958, but at the age of 4 I was dx with jra, had bronchitis/pneumonia more times than I care to count, more health issues started taking place over time. But at a young age, my Dr's told my family that I would not live to my 40th birthday, I'll be 66 this June. God said no, not yet.
As a little child growing in the 80s and 90s ; hearing this song sung so often at church and on the radio station in Jamaica. This song will never grow old! It's also very thrilling to know who is holding your hands and your future is secured in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior!!!!
And here we are on March 17, 2020, dealing with a worldwide pandemic and finding comfort in God's Word and His music. Play it, Bill and Gloria! Such a blessing!
KingsDaughter1958 God's princess 1955 here, not worried. He promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Blessings dear sister, love and peace from San Antonio Texas.
I’m turning to this great music in November 2021. The pandemic is still with us, our country is in chaos, but I know who holds tomorrow, and I know who holds my hand. Thank you Lord for this comforting and encouraging song!
//..THIS IS ALL FORTOLD IN THE BIBLE....THERE WAS A WOMAN 120 WHO WAS SHOW OUR DAYS ...SHE WAS A GODLY WOMEN..HELPED BUILD HOSPITALS ..SCHOOLS ALL CHRISTIAN ..SHE WROTE THE GREAT CONTROVERSY BOOK ....GET IT ON LINE ...IT EXPLAINS ALL...YOU WONT PUT IT DOWN !!
I’m sitting out back enjoying this mild weather, reflecting on my life, things such as losing my wife at 46 to cancer and if I were honest I would say there are things I don’t totally understand but I’m confident one day in heaven it will. Merry Christmas!
My oldest sibling, Bob T, passed unexpectedly on the day we honor Jesus's birthday. This "is" his favorite song. Singing with a Heavenly host of family and friends. PTL!
I am a mother of a 15 year old. Times are really, really tough. My GOD provides! This song is so very true and this song keeps me going! Praise HIS Holy Name! Thank you JESUS!!!!!!
I don't know about tomorrow I just live for day to day I don't borrow from the sunshine For it's skies may turn to gray I don't worry over the future For I know what Jesus said And today I'll walk beside Him For He knows what lies ahead Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand But I know who holds tomorrow And I know who holds my hand I don't know about tomorrow It just makes me be poverty But the one who feeds the sparrow Oh he is the one who stands right beside me And my path that be my portion may be through the flame or flood But his presence goes before me And I am covered with his precious blood Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand But I know who holds tomorrow And I know who holds my hand
Thank you very much for sharing the lyrics of this this very beautiful & meaningful song. A great reminder this God is still in control of our lives. From the Philippines. 10.19.24
These singers are all-time heroes. The days of Gospel Singing Jubilee are over, but these same singers appeared there. Now I hold a Bachelor of Music degree- classically trained. These singers challenged me then and I owe them!
I thank GOD for such a generation of singers who not only preached but set a good example for the future generations. G. Younce you still remain one of my best singers, what a memory
My grandparents were evangelists and introduced me to Bill and Gloria Gaither. My wife and I have been married 25 years this November and our first date was watching the VHS of “Turn Your Radio OnI”. I can’t really put into words the iimpact that all of the Gaither videos have had on my life. Here we are 25 years later still singing praises to our Lord. That speaks for something. Thank you for the journey of music and memories Bill and Gloria! God Bless!
George Younce had one of the best bass voices ever, and Larry Ford has one of the clearest tenor voices ever. When the two voices come together in this classic song, the result is breathtaking.
I love to hear the Gaithers sing. I have my kleenex close by because their songs fill me with such joy I cry tears of exceedingly great joy. God bless all those who join the Gaithers in praising God in song.
My brother’s favorite hymn. The chorus is on his headstone. On the day of his funeral there was a rainbow from the Sisters Mountain where his body was found across the sky over the channel to the Pyramid Peaks; it stayed there all day. ❣️ We had the same birthday, 13 years apart. It has been 42 years but not a day has gone by that I don’t think of him. “....at the ending of the rainbow where the mountains touch the sky.” 🏔 🌈 ⛰
This song holds so many memories of my Papa. He used to just sing it randomly around the house. I would get so frustrated with him b/c he was always giving advice and speaking of God. How I wish I had that guidance now. I miss him dearly. One thing I can say, his words and his teachings are still stuck with me. If I could give advice to any youngster, it would be to listen to your elders. Take it in. They know what they are talking about, especially those who follow the guidance from God.
+Tara Williams I am a 15 year old man, soon to be 16 in May next year. My Grandpa died on July First of 2015. Oh, how I wish I could have more advice and teachings from him. I'll miss this godly, and loving man.
If someone could find a better version of this song, let me know. Larry Ford gives me chills everytime he hits that high note. George is just in a class all his own. No further description is needed.
I know another great youTube video of this song, quite heartfelt, with all 3 verses. Check out Sangah Noona on piano and vocals in her video with the title: "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow with Lyrics"
Yes, this a bedrock hymn!!! If I can't trust God about each day, what can I trust? Yes, I have trusted Him for so long in so many things in all times. In critical illness for 35 years. How faithful He is!!!! We can have no fear in trusting Him! Makes me teary just hearing George!
In my mind, George Younce will always be the greatest bass voice in Gospel music. I could listen to his voice all day. He was truly blessed by God Almighty.
This reminds me of Matthew 6:25-27, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
My mom sang this to my sweet daddy before his death and it was sung at her funeral 2 1/2yrs later. "Inside the Eastern Gate...bye for now" is on her headstone. Looking forward to our Heavenly reunion❤
This reminds me of the most important part of my childhood... The strong, unwavering, and winsome character of my Grandparents, who became my parents without a second thought. This is the music that I grew up in that home loving, even before knowing their Jesus as my own.
Yes, a wonderful arrangement of "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow," Tune and lyrics by Ira Stanphill. The only 3 things missing from this video are 1) the second verse, Every step is getting brighter, as the golden stairs I climb, every burden 's getting lighter, every cloud is silver lined. There the Sun is always shining, there no tear will dim the eye. At the ending of the rainbow, where the mountains touch the sky. 2) Your voice or musical accopaniment as you sing or play along with this official Gaither video. Do you sing or play? I am a vocalist and flautist from Oregon. 3) On screen lyrics.
I wish I didn't worry about tmw and trusted Him more. I love this song and I know it's the truth, through and through but I want manage it all and plan it all. Ugh. My husband is good and trying to redirect me and teach me to WAIT upon the Lord.
Isaiah 41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Thank our Lord Jesus Christ, He's told us He won't leave us here either. He truly is holding our hand to lead us home. Ashamed so many pagans choose not to accept His wonderful sacrifice for them. Keep looking up, family, because the King is coming, the King is coming!! Ole Johnny B.
I LOVE WATCHING AND LISTENING TO THIS GAITHER MUSIC VIDEO. THIS SONG, "I KNOW WHO HOLDS TOMORROW" WAS MY MOTHER'S FAVORITE SPIRITUAL SONG. MY MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER AND MY MOTHER'S SISTERS AND BROTHERS WERE DEEPLY ROOTED IN CHRISTIAN VALUES AND I CAN REMEMBER GOING TO CHURCH EVERY SUNDAY AT THE PENTECOSTAL CHURCH IN LEBANON, INDIANA. I WATCH THIS VIDEO SEVERAL TIMES DAILY AND THINK OF MY PARENTS AND HOW LUCKY MY BROTHERS AND I ARE TO HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH SUCH LOVING AND CARING PARENTS.
I don;t know about anybody else, but for me, I cried like little baby all through this song and I thanked God that His son would choose to die for someone like me. Without Him I am nothing... less than nothing, but He saw in me something I didn't see myself.... I didn't know, after all the wrongs in my life, that that part of me still existed. He saw that it was still there and died for me.. He paid the price for my sins before I was even born. What a Savior! What a loving God! Fool that I am He still saw something in me.... in me.
Herb Houston, I hope you have been baptized by now and if not will soon be. See Col. 2:12; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38 among others. Look in the concordance of your Bible for other verses telling about baptism, I am sure you will find the truth and obey. God bless you and your family.
Same here. Every Sunday or every night we have a family prayer we sung this song. My Grandparents also died already. 🥺😭 those were the treasured memories that we had with them. 🤍
I was just told that I might have Lymphoma today. This song just came to me. I don't know what lies ahead but Jesus does. I know that God is in control and I trust in Him and Him alone.
Dear George Younce,I know your in Glory Land with Mrs Vestal and Happy Goodman and many other great Saints of the faith,I just pray I meet you some day in Heaven ...you were and still are a true inspiration, and how I wish I could sing bass like you did
I don't know about tomorrow I just live from day to day I don't borrow from its sunshine For its skies may turn to gray I don't worry o'er the future For I know what Jesus said And today I'll walk beside Him For He knows what is ahead Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand But I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand Ev'ry step is getting brighter as the golden stairs I climb Ev'ry burden's getting lighter Ev'ry cloud is silver-lined There the sun is always shining There no tear will dim the eye at the ending of the rainbow Where the mountains touch the sky I don't know about tomorrow It may bring me poverty But the One who feeds the sparrow Is the One who stands by me and the path that is my portion May be through the flame or flood But His presence goes before me and I'm covered with His blood
How precious to know WHO holds my hand, always, cause i can sit at JESUS' feet. Glory to HIS NAME!! YES...HE lifts me up above the shadows, lets me stand on the mountain top of GLORY!! 🙌🙌
I have faced so many troubles and now facing even harder ones. But I'll get though them because I know who holds my hand. My husband of 47 years and a heart transplant patient is back in heart failure and had so many strokes from it he's in early late stage dementia. I just lost my left leg and it makes it hard to care for him. But though it all I have never lost faith and my Lord holds my hand and gives me the strength to do what I need to do. Without Him I would have fallen into dispair long ago. Praise be to Him because I never know what tomorrow will bring, but I know Who holds my hand.
Every day we wake up, not knowing it'll be our last. Every night, we go to bed, not knowing if it'll be our last. Praise God, we know that Jesus holds tomorrow.
George Younce was the best ever. I think he left a good testimony, one in which he pleased God. It helps too that he married an ole West Virginia gal . Lol. Good job y’all.
We are all so lucky to have such a gracious Father that gave his only begotten son to die for our sins! How glorious will that day be when we go home to join him and to worship him in our Kingdom build of gold! I place everything in his hands and it humbles me every day to know that my God loves me and will not give me anything that I cannot handle. Tomorrow is in his hands, and tomorrow will be another day that I live for Him.
and here i am,jobless, can't move forward,in debt because of pandemic.Lord help me and give me strength each day.I dont know what tomorrow may bring, but i know you will be there with me all the way.
March 6th 2022 ... I am 76. This song is still great and still speaks to my heart! I was reminded of it while thinking of America and how she has turned back on God.. Abortion, and gay lifestyle, and so much sin seeming to take over what used to be called a Godly nation! Ooohhh Father God, I pray for our country! I don't know what we will have to face in our future, but I thank God for songs like this and for those who still believe He holds tomorrow and those who still stand for the Truth of God's Word!
I was listening to a brother in Christ playing this song on the piano who went to heaven in July and it was just what I needed as my facility manager where l live lost her husband through a drowning here in New Zealand and it's so true as we could be gone in a flash of lightning
Ten months ago I posted here that this song came to me right after I was told I might have lymphoma, not long after it was confirmed. I was told in April that it is all gone. I am now in a maintenance program to keep it gone for 2 years, if it stays gone during that time frame it won't come back. Today, a dear friend called me, she was told she might have lymphoma, guess what I shared with her!! This song has become my theme song I do believe !
IMO, there has never been a bass singer with a voice that's just so plain BEAUTIFUL as George Younce's. Plus, I know from seeing him in so many videos that he's a hilarious guy. I plan on being mightily entertained by him in heaven. Larry Ford is also phenomenal. I love these people. Just from seeing the vidoes, they have truly come to feel like family to me.
Our Saviour and Our God holds our hand and guides our footsteps as we walk beside Him! Praise God Be The Glory!! There is another song "Redemption Draweth Nigh" that Ernie Haas sings. Our Saviour is coming back folks, are we ready?
Bill and Gloria - Thank you for the playlist! If you only knew how often I come out here to UA-cam to sing with y'all... I love you so much and appreciate all you have given to the body of Christ through the years! You have gotten me through many a dark day... May blessings upon blessings overtake you and yours!
+ mrrich1733 Not all rock music is bad of course, I love southern gospel like this, and listen to all of them. But people like stryper do alot of christian music as well.
These old songs and singers still feed my soul. This is a great one. Yesterday is gone, today is real, tomorrow is unknown. I'm so glad I know the one who holds tomorrow.
I was blessed to have attended the church were Pastor Ira Stanphill preached and sang there at First Assembly of God in Lancaster, PA. He wrote many songs , this one has always been a favorite.
No, we don't need to understand. Jesus holding my hand in Waynesboro, va. Love Him so much for His love, Word, and promises to each of us. No matter where we are, what we are doing, He can reach us all. Amen.
Had the honor and privilege of meeting and hearing the beyond great writer of this gospel classic tell the story behind it...Ira Stanphill, the gentleman with the white hair and glasses in the video. It's an unbelievable, shocking tale of his wife riding off with her new found lover on the back of a motorcycle, only to have the driver literally lose his head over their sin, doubt and unbelief.
George Looks so nice in this and same with Jake Hess No matter what we can look to Jesus he always answers us. We may not know what tomorrow brings but we do know who holds it.
See how happy these people are when gathering together to celebrate their joy of knowing their Lord and Savior and ❤love for him and each other,❤ should that alone tell us something !
Yes so blessed and inspire our family too
I can never hear this song without weeping! It takes me back to the time my daddy sang it on a Sunday morning. The next Sunday my grandmother ask him to sing it again...he did! Yes, I know who has held my land for 62 years. I don't know about tomorrow
I just live for day to day
I don't borrow from the sunshine
For it's skies may turn to gray
I don't worry over the future
For I know what Jesus said
And today I'll walk beside Him
For He knows what lies ahead
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand
I don't know about tomorrow
It just makes me be poverty
But the one who feeds the sparrow
Oh he is the one who stands right beside me
And my path that be my portion may be through the flame or flood
But his presence goes before me
And I am covered with his precious blood
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand

George Younce had one of the best bass voices ever, and Larry Ford has one of the clearest tenor voices ever. When the two voices come together in this classic song, the result is breathtaking.
And I loved the obvious respect and enjoyment they shared when they turned face to face (3:40), seeming to challenge one another...;))
He sounds a lot like Jim Reeves.
This song came to my mind as I start to panic and realize that Jesus is in control just sit back and let it go.

Without my Lord, I could not live what I am. Thanks God, Praise the Lord!!
My adult daughter and I prayed on the phone just the other night. To all, I wish the grace of God in their lives here on Earth.
In my mind, George Younce will always be the greatest bass voice in Gospel music. I could listen to his voice all day. He was truly blessed by God Almighty.
Everything belongs to God he makes Heaven and Earth only one Father, only one God praise him all together
Respectfully disagree. That title goes to George Beverly Shea.
Love Larry Ford's beautiful tenor voice. One of my favorite singers.
Love both voices
I can't hold back my tears listening to this song..indeed He holds my tomorrow 🙏
No matter what sin and evil I’ve faced in this life... he is always there, Amen!
I know who holds my hand!
This reminds me of Matthew 6:25-27, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Yes, a wonderful arrangement of "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow," Tune and lyrics by Ira Stanphill.
The only 3 things missing from this video are
1) the second verse,
Every step is getting brighter,
as the golden stairs I climb,
every burden 's getting lighter,
every cloud is silver lined.
There the Sun is always shining,
there no tear will dim the eye.
At the ending of the rainbow, where the mountains touch the sky.

Keep looking up, family, because the King is coming, the King is coming!! Ole Johnny B.
Glory! So thankful that the Lord found me last year. I don't worry about tomorrow and I don't fear death. I can't wait to see my Lord!
Fool that I am He still saw something in me.... in me.
Herb Houston yes touching song. remember from my childhood. Mom used to sing Ira's music.

Glory to God for his blessings to us
I live from today to today. Thank you Jesus, and today I will walk with him.
I don't seem to understand but I know who hold my hands Jesus
There is no heart that wouldn't feel the genuineness of these lyrics. It's Great . Glory to the Lamb, Glory to the everlasting King.
I was just told that I might have Lymphoma today. This song just came to me. I don't know what lies ahead but Jesus does. I know that God is in control and I trust in Him and Him alone.
You're healed in Jesus name
Stay strong God hears your prayers he can give you a miracle..He loves you God bless you .
Dear George Younce,I know your in Glory Land with Mrs Vestal and Happy Goodman and many other great Saints of the faith,I just pray I meet you some day in Heaven ...you were and still are a true inspiration, and how I wish I could sing bass like you did
I am not a person of faith, however, this is one of the most moving songs I've ever heard. Bless you all for sharing your love and gifts with us all.
You dont sound to me that you are not a person of faith. you blessed others for sharing. May I bless you. We are all children of God no matter what.

Just the Heart beating to point proves that we have Faith that it not Fail us, And Faith in God is just as easy as know that the heart beats on.
I don't know about tomorrow
I just live from day to day
I don't borrow from its sunshine
For its skies may turn to gray
I don't worry o'er the future
For I know what Jesus said
And today I'll walk beside Him
For He knows what is ahead
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
and I know who holds my hand
Ev'ry step is getting brighter
as the golden stairs I climb
Ev'ry burden's getting lighter
Ev'ry cloud is silver-lined
There the sun is always shining
There no tear will dim the eye
at the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky
I don't know about tomorrow
It may bring me poverty
But the One who feeds the sparrow
Is the One who stands by me
and the path that is my portion
May be through the flame or flood
But His presence goes before me
and I'm covered with His blood
Wow! I hear God's voice speaking to me in this song! I listen to it most evenings on my walk and every single time I am moved!
Thank you Gaithers!
Hello Donna, that’s nice to hear from you,,it’s seem you’re truly a genuine Christian

How precious to know WHO holds my hand, always, cause i can sit at JESUS' feet. Glory to HIS NAME!! YES...HE lifts me up above the shadows, lets me stand on the mountain top of GLORY!! 🙌🙌

Brilliant version & great harmony! So beautifully vocalised !
May you both be blessed, keep your faith because it is coming.
Methodist hymns and worship songs
Every day we wake up, not knowing it'll be our last. Every night, we go to bed, not knowing if it'll be our last. Praise God, we know that Jesus holds tomorrow.
George Younce was the best ever. I think he left a good testimony, one in which he pleased God. It helps too that he married an ole West Virginia gal . Lol. Good job y’all.
George had a wonderful voice, so beautiful!
Anyone listening 2020 hit the like button and thank God for we don't seem to understand but know who holds tomorrow

The more I listen to gospel music,,the more I am Blessed by The Holy Spirit..Isn't He Wonderful??..GLORY!!..
I live in Korea. praise is so touching. Every time I listen to it, I cry. Amen.
This I do know..He is Lord!!!! He does hold my tomorrow! I am 77 and He has NEVER left me nor forsaken me!!!!!

Crazy h Hopkins .I know I'm 50
This song has become my theme song I do believe
!
Bless Your Heart Teddy!
praise God!!
GLORY GLORY!
Teddie Schaefer Praise the Lord.
Teddie Schaefer and I
IMO, there has never been a bass singer with a voice that's just so plain BEAUTIFUL as George Younce's. Plus, I know from seeing him in so many videos that he's a hilarious guy. I plan on being mightily entertained by him in heaven. Larry Ford is also phenomenal. I love these people. Just from seeing the vidoes, they have truly come to feel like family to me.
GLORY BE TO THE MOST HIGH GOD! HALLELUJAH THANK YOU JESUS! AMEN!
I love this song. Walking towards my PT appointment
Tears listening to this song thinking and reflecting and praying all at the same time.

Talented Folks propagating the good news of Christ through souls touching songs. I am thrilled by their voices.
you can have your heavy metal music, this is MY kind, thank God
+ mrrich1733 Not all rock music is bad of course, I love southern gospel like this, and listen to all of them. But people like stryper do alot of christian music as well.
Me too sir!
mrr
Oh, I agree good ole Southern Gospel and the Holy Spirit, there is nothing better.
There is a difference in he (heavy metal) & He (gospel) who inspires that makes the difference!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ANOINTING SINGING THANKS FOR SHARING THIS.
Thanks for reminding me that I have a father who knows and holds my future
yes!.. i know who holds tomorrow...but may he also holds me today!..
The Lord laid this song on my heart tonight and I needed to here this so.
For sure we do not know about tomorrow nor what i holds but with faith we know who holds tomorrow because all tomorrows belong to Jesus
Music.. Jesus!!. singggggggg!!! The presence of the LORD is real. He knows what is ahead.
No, we don't need to understand. Jesus holding my hand in Waynesboro, va. Love Him so much for His love, Word, and promises to each of us. No matter where we are, what we are doing, He can reach us all. Amen.
Sunday Church music 2025!!!
It's January 2022 and there is still pandemic and chaos!! Only comfort are these wonderful songs recorded by the Gaithers. Lord hold us close!!!
Hello, how are you doing, hope your staying safe?
My Lord and my God. I love you, not for what you do or can do but for who you are.
Chicken mmlb
One of the prettiest songs ever I’ve heard, and I know who hose my hand! Thank you for this song and you are a good singers⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
George Looks so nice in this and same with Jake Hess No matter what we can look to Jesus he always answers us. We may not know what tomorrow brings but we do know who holds it.
