    I like your videos! You don’t take too much for granted about knowledge of quilting. But you don’t speak like you’re talking to dumb people. Your giggle is contagious. You’re straightforward no nonsense, ‘git er done’ is wonderful and refreshing.

    Tiffany, I love these patterns! ❤ UA-cam needs to add a LOVE button along with the thumbs up/down! I will definitely be using this as I make several baby quilts. I really enjoy watching and gleaning from your experience and knowledge. Thank you for sharing with us!

    No matter how many times I watch your videos I am so glad I found your channel. You never assume we know what we are doing and give us complete instruction from start to finish. I think anyone can follow what ever project you are making. Both of these ideas are great. I also like that you tell us to do what we are comfortable with. Pinning marking cutting what ever it is. I love my magnet for my seams and I do pin I even stitch slowly and never feel like I am being judged. I think that is I enjoy your channel so much thanks for another great project option.

      I totally agree with you. I’m a long time quilter but I find I can learn something from Tiffany every time I watch one of her videos.
      I also love watching her mail opening videos, so many people love ❤️ her and send such great parcels. She has a great community following her which I find very inspiring 👵😍🇦🇺

      Tiffany I’m also amazed how you manage to come up with so many new ideas and all while struggling with your math! Just goes to show anyone can do anything if they want to. You go girl 🥰🎶😺🧵🪡
      Also thrilled that Scott is involved and helps you so much. ❤🎉 love from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺

    I always thought when you measure borders you would measure the center of the quilt top not the edge so that you aren't measuring a potentially stretched edge. It brings it back into square that way. I love this quilt, and with so many scraps I am going to make this one!

    • @TiffanysQuiltingLife
      @TiffanysQuiltingLife  5 місяців тому +1

      Well, the general way is to measure the center and 2 sides. Then go off that. I tried that a lot in the beginning. I can't say all, but most were within a quarter inch. So, after that first year of measuring and pinning, I started the way I do it. I have the same results as I did before. But less time wasted on measuring and pinning. As long as you don't stretch the top and borders, it should be square every time.

    Wondering how you like your Martelli rotary cutter? I bought one, then had to have multiple shoulder surgeries and couldn’t sew for a long while. Now I find that I’m not loving it, having trouble cutting through fabric without it skipping in places. Have you had any problems like this or do you have any tips for using that cutter?

    • @TiffanysQuiltingLife
      @TiffanysQuiltingLife  5 місяців тому +1

      Well the blade can be knicked or dull to cause skips. If it a new blade but still skips it could be your cutting mat with deep cuts, and may need a new one.
      Those are always my main issues.

    These went together beautifully. My question is..when you attach your borders do you always put the long sides on first then the short sides? I have seen it both ways but I wondered is there like an industry standard for borders that you know of? Thanks. Nice job on these👍💕

    • @TiffanysQuiltingLife
      @TiffanysQuiltingLife  5 місяців тому +1

      I typically do sides then top and bottom. I don't think there is a standard. It just looks cleaner, I suppose. Most quilts that I longarm have sides then rop and bottom. So I would assume it's the most popular way.

    I have a question Tif, if you want your baby quilt soft and light….there is going to be a lot of sewing on this quilt and that can be heavy…..what would you recommend for the batting to make a quilt for a hot weather state ie Florida. Thank you dear lady.

    • @TiffanysQuiltingLife
      @TiffanysQuiltingLife  5 місяців тому +1

      I usually just put 100% cotton in baby quilts. I also put flannel backs on them. I've gifted many friends baby quilts with either a nice flannel back and top quilt or the cotton batting between the top and a soft regular cotton backing. I also lightly quilt them most times.
