@@thedevilsrockstxr2309 Dallas was absolutely streaking at that time tho. Everyone was clicking, Gafford was ballin out of his mind and PJ was finally on a winning team.
Sac just couldnt win the games they needed to, they lost to more bottom 5 teams than any other playoff team. Couldnt hit free throws, blown leads, and straight up bad luck.

@@thedevilsrockstxr2309 O you dont know Kings basketball lol as a kings fan that has been the history since the Tyreke Evans days. Up 3 quarters and still find a way to lose lol most Kings fans have been happy to just have back to back winning seasons.
I think that the Kings will be a top 6 seed because their top players are generally durable and they don't load manage. For that alone, they're my favorite California team, and one of my overall favorites.

Definitely. People are overreacting to DeRozan’s lack of 3 point shooting; but they don’t realize that DeRozan gets an insane amount of Free Throw attempts. Kings lacked that big time. His addition will definitely make the Kings more competitive.!
They're not going to be competing for titles anytime soon unless they get much better defensively. Right now they're competing for a first maybe second round exit.

@@jamesdavidson8306You definitely need a top 10 defense and top 10 offense to contend but they’re not done making moves yet. Their defense improve a lot last year. They were right around average which is a marked improvement. Derozan has about 2-3 good years left so if they want to compete with him now, they need to make some defensive pick ups.

That’s a great pick up. He’s actually with a good team that needs a go to guy to get a bucket when needed. They always fell short but adding him helps out a lot

DAL will straight outscore trams regular season and see if they can ratchet up come playoffs. Don't underestimate the increased offensive motion with Klay willingly running off screen versus a stagnant Hardaway. Better flow = better shots. Easier to set up the defense when you making shots in the flow of the offense (fewer broken plays resulting in having to re-locate your defensive assignment).
SAC yes playoffs, roster continuity should net 4-6 seed. Sabonis taking too many mid-range late shot clock twos last year should largely be addressed/resolved (Sabonis better 3rd scorer ... either straight shoot the three, pass/facilitate, or get deep in the paint ... no more inefficient playing with his food 15-18 feet from the basket). West is also thinner ... GSW, LAC, PHX iffy starting roster and/or depth. LAL, NOP, MEM likely improve. DAL, MIN, DEN maintain high seeds. If Gordon refuses to take/make threes DEN might fall off a tiny bit with Jamal no longer turning the corner like he used to.

That's what the Kings and fans are hoping Keegan can become. He's shown flashes of shot creation, he added a floater/runner, and his defense (specifically on ball) improved immensely. The only issue he has is ball handling. He doesn't need anything special, just enough to get to his spots, similar to Klay.

Kings fan. I think people need to look at it that Sac essentially traded Barnes for DeRozan which is a huge upgrade.(No offense HB)
How would you define bust for Klay though? If he does not perform like prime Klay? Because that's not what Dallas needsd from him. Klay shot like 45% off open catch and shoot situations last season. Dallas needed a reliable shooter that Kyrie and Luka can kick out to when they drive. He'll be a far third option behind those two. They just need him to score maybe 12-15ppg on good 3pt efficiency to open up the lanes. Anything more than that seems to me to be icing for them.
I agree with you but if I were too answer the question I guess I would say it's about the other end of the court. Think old JJ Reddick. He retired still a 10ppg scorer n knock down shooter but was a liability on the other end. If Klay is no longer a great defender given Kyries a bad defender too that could be an issue. Again not my take, just answering the question lol
If Klay can't average 10pts, if he is another cone on defense, if he can't stretch the floor. If he perform like he did in that last game.

Klay WAS a better defender than T.H.Jr! His biggest decline after his injuries is on the defensive end, not on offence. And it's a huge decline! He always was kinda streaky offensively, even in his prime, so that's not the issue. Right now, Klay has the feet of a turtle! Almost anyone can get by him and the effort he puts in isn't the same as well post-injury. Right now, he makes Trae Young look like a decent perimeter defender. That's how bad Klay has gotten defensively! When he used to be one of the best perimeter defenders in the league and could guard 3 positions.
Klays defense seems to me like Jason Kidds in 2011. Against bigger slower skilled guards or SFs he should do well defensively. Against guards or SF that rely on speed and athleticism, not so much IMO.
@@SinaSoh I guess we'll have to wait and find out, my man! Maybe he's got some extra motivation now to prove himself once again and may end up putting more effort. I'm not optimistic, based on what i've seen from him since his return. And trust me, i've seen plenty. Cos i was somehwat of a fan for a long time. Prime Klay was the only player in the world that could fit in any team, any system, any teammates, any rules (NBA or international) and under any coach.
I think adding DeRozan is a great move. He's known for closing games and popping off in the 4th. That's what the Kings needed last season.
I hear a lot people saying that it’s not a ideal fit for Demar in Sacramento.
Folks said the same thing the year he went to the Bulls with the pairing along side Lonzo, Lavine, & Vooch.
He was in the MVP conversation & the bulls record before Lonzo got hurt was 27-13.
They said the same thing when Kings got Sabonis.

The 76ers move to get PG is actually one of the better moves made this off-season by any team.

@@shorewall I am not the one who said it, I am just saying the media painted it as he would make anyone else contenders, but for the kings “it’s a solid pick up” so, I am not sure why you decided that this statement was towards you, and why you could not understand the point, but hey if you feel some type of way and are triggered, maybe you are a fan of one of those who could have been potential contenders and failed to do so by not being able to land DeRozan. 🤷♂️
Warriors should go after Markkanen. They have no players over the height of 6’9.
That’s part of their problem it’s a size issue. They’re Small Ball tactic needs to end.

DeRozan may not be a great defender but he fixes issues for the Kings last season in FT percentage, FT attempts, another ball handler, durability, play maker, and closer. I was on the fence about this move when it happened but the more I look at DeRozan's game the more I'm excited for the season.
About first take- can you see 76ers reach to a conference finals? I personally don't, so PG signing has little to no impact!
Pg is so overrated at this point he goes missing every playoffs and people still talk like he is the missing piece also getting paid 53 mil average

The Kings actually have good shooters. Fox, Monk, and Lyles are respectable shooters. Murray, Ellis, and Huerter are good shooters. That's six main rotation players who can shoot or are shooters.
Watch some fox tape from this season. One of the best volume 3 pt shooters in the league last season

NO ONE said Harrison Barnes was the missing piece. Kings were a 30 win team there and there was no way in hell that team was contending by adding a guy averaging 18 ppg on an equally (maybe slightly better) mavs team at the time.

Demar took the reports to the playoffs multiple years and I don’t remember him ever playing with two all nba caliber players like Fox and sabonis 🤔🤔
